Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this K-Source driver's side replacement electric side view mirror with the heat and turn signal functions. Now this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2014 to 2018 Subaru Forester vehicles and on a custom fit part like this, I do recommend for you to go to our website and use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle and it'll show if this'll work for your application. Now, this is a side view mirror, which is a direct replacement for the driver's side factory mirror on your vehicle. It is modeled after the manufacturer's original look and fit.

Zoom in here and show you, it's actually a nice durable plastic housing, has a nice textured black finish to it. And if you notice it comes with the two separate covers, the black covers that'll snap onto the mirror for a nice finished look. You can see that this one will snap right onto the top, just like that. And then this one'll snap right onto the bottom. Now, the reason these are separate is because once these covers are pushed on and snapped into place, they're not made to be removed.

And they're sent separate because you can get them painted if needed to match your vehicle. On some of the vehicles, the mirrors might be painted the same as the color of the vehicle. So this way you can get them painted before you install them. If you don't need them painted, you could just pop them right on, you're ready to go. Now, this does offer a power remote capability, allows you to adjust your mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle.

This does also offer the heated mirror glass, which'll clear frost and ice, help reduce fogging. And if you notice on the side here has this amber light, and this'll flash when your turn signal is activated. Now this mirror does she use OE-grade flat glass with first surface plating to reflect only clear images. The front of the glass itself is painted with reflective chrome. And this mirror is a flat lens, which'll reflect the true representation of the object size in the mirror.

It is a breakaway design. The mirror will fold when it's struck to prevent breakage, and you can see it is an easy, no drill installation. It does have the same footprint and mounting points as the factory mirror and the mirror will plug into your existing electrical wiring. Now, this part does replace the original equipment part number of 91036SG362. It is for quantity of one driver's side mirror. Now, one note I do wanna mention is the power mode capability, the heated glass, and the turn signal of this mirror will work only if the vehicle already has those functions and this mirror does not support the memory function or the BSDS, which is the blind spot detection system.
