Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this case source replacement side view mirror. This is gonna be a direct replacement for the driver's side factory mirror on your 2013 through 2016 Lexus GS 350 and 450H. This is modeled after the Lexus's original look and fit so you really shouldn't be able to tell that it's a replacement mirror. It should look like it came with your Lexus right from the factory. And because it is modeled after that original fit, it's gonna have the same footprint and mounting points as your factory mirror.

So very simple to get installed, you're not gonna have to drill any new holes or anything like that. Basically just remove your original mirror, put this one in its place, and you'll be ready to go. For those of you who do need a little bit more reassurance that this is gonna work for you, you can see that original equipment number on the screen there. So if you're taking off your original mirror, or going through your owner's manual, you see that number anywhere, you can trust this is gonna be exactly what you need and it is going to have that same kind of electrical plug that we'll just plug right into your existing electrical wiring. That's gonna give you the power remote capability so you can adjust the mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle.

It's also going to provide the heated mirror glass that's gonna help clear frost and ice and reduce your fogging. Will also control your amber light here on the side of the mirror. That's gonna flash and when your turn signal is activated. On the bottom, we do also have that puddle lamp that's gonna eliminate the area under the mirror. And we also are going to connect to that memory function.

So your car's computer will recognize the preset mirror positions that you have already selected or will select once you get it all installed again. Now keep in mind the power remote capability, the heated glass, the turn signal, and puddle lamp, and memory function will only work if your vehicle already has those functions. It's not gonna add that capability to a vehicle that wasn't able to do it with the original mirror, but this is not going to support the auto dimming function or the blind spot detection. So fewer capabilities than the original potentially, but overall, a really great mirror giving you a lot of those original capabilities as well. This is an OE grade product, so the front of the glass is plated with a reflective chrome that's gonna give you a nice clear image.

It is a flat lens like most driver side mirrors. It's gonna give you a true representation of the object size behind you. This does feature the breakaway design so the mirror will fold in on itself if you we're to run into the side of a your garage or a parking post or something like that, it's gonna help to absorb some of that impact, deter any breakage, but it is a very durable plastic housing here with this black finish so it will hold up well. That black finish can also be painted to match your vehicle to further integrate it and make it look, again, more like it came with your vehicle from the factory.
