Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this K source, passenger side replacement, electric side view mirror, with the heat function. Now, this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2014 to 2018 Toyota Sequoia SR5 vehicles. And on a custom fit part like this, I always like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show if this will work for your application. Now this side view mirror is a direct replacement for the passenger side factory mirror on your vehicle.
You can see it is modeled after the manufacturer's original look and fit. Now, this is a nice durable plastic housing that has a nice textured black finish to it. And if you notice the cover right here, it's a separate glossy black cover, and that's designed to snap right onto the back right here for a nice finished look. Now, the reason they send this cover separate is because once it's installed, it's not made to be taken back off. So they send it separate so that you can paint it the color, if needed, to match your vehicle.
If you don't need it to be painted, you could just install it, snap it right in, and then you're ready to go. Now this does offer power remote capability. You can adjust the mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle. It does offer a heated mirror glass, which will clear frost and ice, help reduce fogging, and on this passenger side mirror it's an OE grade convex glass with a first-surface plating to reflect clear images. So another glass is plated with reflective Chrome and it's a convex lens, so it provides a wide angle view that helps reduce blind spots.
It is a breakaway design, meaning this mirror will fold when it's struck to prevent breakage. It is an easy no-drill installation. You can see it has the same footprint and mounting points as the factory mirror, and the mirror will plug into your existing electrical wiring. A few specs on this. This part will replace the original equipment part number 8-7-9-1-0-0-C-5-0-0.
It is for a quantity of one passenger side mirror. A couple notes on this mirror: the power remote capability and the heated glass of the mirror will work only if your vehicle already has those functions. And this mirror does not have the turn signal, and it does not support the blind side detection feature.
