Hi, there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this K Source replacement side view mirror. This side view mirror is a direct replacement for the driver side factory mirror on your 2016 through 2018 Toyota Tacoma. This is modeled after your Toyota's original look and fit, so you really shouldn't be able to tell that it's a replacement mirror. It should look like it came with your Tacoma right from the factory. So no worries about looking like a, pieced together from the junkyard sort of look.

It's gonna be a nice integrated look for you. For those of you who do need a little bit more reassurance, this is going to replace that original equipment number that you see on the screen there. So if you're taking off your original mirror, or you're going through your owner's manual and you see that number anywhere, you can trust this is gonna be exactly what you need. This does have the same footprint and mounting points as your factory mirror as well. So it's gonna be a very simple, no-drill installation, just basically take your original mirror off, put this one in its place.

It will plug into the existing electrical wiring for your vehicle and that's gonna provide the power remote capability so you can adjust the mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle. It's also gonna provide the heated mirror glass that's gonna clear frost and ice and help reduce fogging. Now, keep in mind, the power remote capability and heated mirror glass are only gonna work if your vehicle is already capable of those functions. It's not gonna add that capability to a vehicle that didn't have it before. And a couple of things that this does not include are a turn signal and puddle lamp or a spotter mirror.

It also does not support blind spot detection. So if your original mirror had those capabilities, this isn't gonna be an exact replacement for you, but it is gonna do a good job completing your look and giving you that safety, being able to see vehicles behind you or as you're backing up and that sort of thing. This is an OE-grade product, so it is gonna be very high quality for you. The front of the glass, it's plated with a reflective chrome. It is a flat lens like most driver side mirrors, so it's gonna give you a nice, true representation of the object size behind you.

It does feature the breakaway design so the mirror will fold in on itself if you we're to run into a parking post or to the side of your garage or something like that. It's gonna help fold in, help to absorb some of that impact, prevent any damage or try to deter breakage. It does have a durable plastic housing with this textured black finish here. So pretty fine texture. It feels fairly smooth to me, but should coordinate well with the rest of the Tacoma and give you a nice complete look again. So that completes our look for today.
