Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this K Source replacement side view mirror. Now this is going to be a direct replacement for the passenger side factory mirror on your 2009 through 2012 Toyota RAV4. This is modeled after the Toyota's original look and fit so you really shouldn't be able to tell that this is a replacement mirror. It should look like it came with your RAV4 right from the factory so you don't have to worry about that pieced together from the junkyard sort of look, it's gonna give you a fully integrated look again and you're not gonna be missing on that passenger side mirror. So because this is modeled after your original, this is going to have the same footprint.

So it's gonna be very easy to install. You're not gonna have to do any drilling or anything like that. And it will have the same mounting points as your factory mirror. Will plug into your existing electrical wiring and that's going to give you the power remote capability so you can adjust the mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle. Now keep in mind, that's only gonna work if your vehicle is already capable of that.

This isn't going to add those functions to a vehicle that doesn't already have them and the mirror does not have a turn signal on it. So if your original does or did, this will give you a little bit less functionality but it's still going to give you a nice original type look to it. It is an OE grade construction materials. The front of the glass is plated with a reflective chrome, so it is going to give you a nice clear image. It is a passenger side mirror, so it's gonna have that convex lens to try and give you a wider view, reduce those blind spots like most passenger side mirrors do.

This does have a breakaway design, so if you we're to hit the side of your garage or a parking post or something like that, the mirror's going to fold in on itself to help absorb some of that impact and reduce the amount of damage done to the mirror. But it does have this durable plastic housing with a black finish on it. You can paint this to match your vehicle for an even more integrated look if you like or you can just leave it with that black and it'll look really well, really good for you as well. So this is going to, for those of you who need a little bit more reassurance, this is going to be meet the original or be the same as the original equipment number that you see on the screen there. So if you're going through your owner's manual or when you take off your original mirror if you see that number anywhere, you can trust this is going to be exactly what you need.
