Hey, everyone. I'm Ellen, here at etrailer.com and today we're taking a quick look at the K source replacement side mirror. This is going to be a direct replacement for your 2013 through the current Nissan NV 200 and that is going to be at this point for the 2020. So this is going to look exactly like your original mirror has all the same functions. We'll have our wiring harness here to connect into our factory wiring so we can get our power function to work with this mirror. So, you can make those adjustments from inside the cab of your van and not have to worry about adjusting anything manually with that.
It's going to work just the same. Also has the heated glass capabilities, so you're not going to lose anything there. But one thing I will note, if you didn't already have those functions in your Nissan, this isn't going to upgrade you. It's not going to give you anything that you didn't already have. So that wiring has to be present to plug in to something and if it's not there, it's not going to work. So just something to keep in mind there, not going to be an upgrade if you had a manual mirror before.
In the corner you'll notice we will have this little spot mirror that's going to have a nice wide field of view to help eliminate any blind spots. Since it is going to be a bigger vehicle, that's definitely an important thing to have and this is going to have a nice durable black plastic housing has the same footprint as our original mirror. So, take the old one off, plug the new one into your wiring and then replace the hardware here. It does come with the nuts, they're tightened all the way down and it's kind of hard to get a hand on them, but it does come with the nuts there to replace that.So no cutting or drilling required, no splicing with this. Really easy install to get that mirror replaced.
It also still has the swing-away design, so if somebody happens to sideswipe our mirror on a narrow street or if we happen to get a little too close to a pillar in a garage or something like that, it should fold away rather than breaking off so you can see it's going to fold in towards your vehicle and then we can fold that back out. I know, it's kind of awkward, but it's harder to do this whenever it's not mounted to anything, so that should help prevent breakage in the future for that. The glass is OE grade flat glass, which is typical for our driver's side, so it gives us a true representation of what's going on behind us. No field distortion, so we don't have to worry about any kind of depth of field or field of view distortion. No...
it's going to look like what's going on behind us, so we don't have to worry about it being distorted there, typical for your driver's side. But that's pretty much going to do it for our look at the K source replacement side mirror. I hope this video has been helpful in deciding if this is going to be the right one for you. If you need the passenger side, that's also available here at etrailer.com using part number KS 68111N. Thanks for watching.
