Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here etrailer.com. Today we're talking a quick look at the K Source replacement side mirror. This is going to be for your passenger side, and it is a custom fit for the 2013 through the current Nissan NV200. That current year will be 2020 as of now. This is going to be a direct replacement for that passenger side mirror. Should be an exact match to your original.
Shouldn't be able to tell any difference between that and the factory mirror. Comes with the wiring in place, so you'll still have your remote power capability. You can still adjust the mirror from inside your cab, so you can use all those controls without having to worry about splicing anything in. It's just going to use that factory wiring connection, so plugs right in. There's even a little wire keeper here to pop in place.
It's like a little fastener there. It should pop right into the same factory spot that the old one did.It also is still going to have the heated glass so you can clear away any kind of frost buildup or ice or fogging on that mirror face. You can also see the spot mirror in the corner there, so it gives you that wide field of view as you're making turns with your Nissan NV. It does have a convex lens over all, so that's why it has the warning at the bottom saying that objects are closer than they appear. That's a typical thing with passenger side mirrors.
It just helps give you that wider field of view, eliminate blind spots. But it does kind of distort the depth perception with that mirror. But again, that is pretty standard for passenger side mirrors. It's going to have the same footprint as your original, and it also comes with new flange nuts here. It looks like they're kind of tightened all the way down, but that should be the replacement hardware to get that installed. You'll just take the old one off, put this new guy on, plug in your wiring, and you're good to go.
So no drilling, no cutting or splicing required, really easy install. One thing I would want to add as a caveat to that, if your original mirror didn't have the power function or the heated glass, that will not work for your vehicle. If you didn't already have that wiring to match up with those, this isn't going to be an upgrade for your vehicle. If you had a manual mirror before, you can't use this because you need to have that wiring in place. Just something to keep in mind there.Does have the swingaway design, so if somebody happens to clip our mirror, it should fold in against our Nissan NV instead of breaking off. As you can see there, it's a lot narrower now. Then we can fold it back out, which might be kind of difficult since I don't have this mounted to anything. There we go. Also has a durable plastic housing. If you need the driver side, that's also available here at etrailer.com. That part number's going to be KS368112N. That's going to do it for our look at the K Source replacement side mirror. I hope this video has been helpful in deciding if this going to be the right one for you. Thanks for watching.
