Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at the K Source replacement side mirror. This is a direct replacement for the driver's side side-view mirror on your 2013 through 2014 Mazda CX5. And it is modeled after your Mazda's original look and fit. So, you're really not going to be able to tell that it's a replacement. It's going to look like it came with your vehicle right from the factory.

You'll notice here this back cover. This is removable. It comes detached. It's very easy to get this installed, but once it's installed, it's very difficult to remove it again. So, that's why I have it detached for the moment.

They do this so that you can easily paint this back portion to match your vehicle color. So again, it looks more like it came with your vehicle from the factory.This mirror does have the power remote capability, so you can adjust the mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle. It's also got the amber lights on the side here that's going to flash when your turn signal is activated. Now, the power remote capability and the turn signal will only work if your vehicle already has those functions. It's not going to add that to a vehicle that doesn't already have those functions.And one thing that this mirror lacks that your other mirror might have is the BSDS, which is the blind spot detection feature.

This mirror does not come equipped with that feature.It is an OE grade. So, it's the same quality as your original mirror. The front of the glass is plated with a reflective chrome. So, you're going to get a nice, clear image. And it is a flat lens, so you're not going to have to worry about any sort of warping or distortion, and you're going to get a true representation of the objects behind you.It does have the breakaway design.

So, the mirror is going to fold up when it's struck to deter any sort of breakage. So, if you back up accidentally hit a pole or the side of your garage or something, the mirror is going to kind of collapse in on itself to try and minimize the damage done to the mirror.It's made of a durable plastic housing with a black finish. It's going to be very easy to install and you can see our footprint here is going to be the same as your factory footprint. So, basically all you have to do is remove your old mirror, put this one on, plug it in place to enable the power remote and amber light features. And you're ready to go.It's going to be very simple, very easy to do. For those of you who like the details, this is going to replace the original equipment number KD3569181G. And this is the driver side mirror. It's only going to come with the one mirror.
