Ellen: Hi, everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and today we're going to be taking a look at the K Source Replacement Side Mirror. This is an electric mirror for our driver's side on the 2015 through 2017 Hyundai Sonata Eco, and basically this is just going to be a direct replacement for your old mirror. If that got banged up, damaged, maybe knocked off somewhere along the way, this is going to get you back out on the road and being able to see what's going on behind you. It does have that small spotter mirror in the corner so we can have a wider field of view in that little area. And then our larger mirror is going to have a flat lens to reflect a true representation of what's behind us.

So you can kind of get the best of both worlds from this mirror. It does have the wiring connection so you can make all your adjustments from inside your Sonata. You can use that little dial. It plugs right in, and it should get you back to working.Same exact footprint, comes with new nuts there to go over the studs. So to get this installed, you might have to pop out a panel on the inside of your Sonata to get access to these nuts and studs here.

So you remove the nut, unplug your wiring, and then basically repeat that same process in reverse to get the new one in place.It does have a durable plastic housing with a textured black finish that you can actually paint to match your vehicle. Whenever you get this, this cover is usually removed to make it a lot easier to paint, since when it's in place it can be a little bit more tricky since you'll have to make sure that you don't get any paint or overspray on your mirror face. But if you pop that off, paint it up however it needs to be to match with your vehicle, and then pop it in place once that paint is dried makes it pretty easy. Once this cover is in place, it's kind of hard to get off without marring or scratching it. So I would definitely suggest if you want to paint it, do it before you get that cover in place.It has a breakaway design, so if you want to flatten this out against your Sonata, especially if you're on a one way street or maybe pulling into a really narrow parking space, maybe going into your garage, or anything like that, you can flip it in closer to your Sonata so it's going to stay out of the way.

Definitely a good way to protect your new mirror, so you don't have to find a new one again.Now also on this face, we'll also have a little foam protection, helps to keep out the road noise. And there's also a rubber boot around all those connections as well, to keep everything nice and watertight.So this is going to be the driver's side mirror. That part number is KS65545Y.Now a couple of things to keep in mind with this, it does not have the memory function and it also doesn't have the turn signal. If your original mirror didn't have the powered function at all, this is not going to upgrade you at all.

So if you had manual mirrors, then this isn't going to give you a new nice electric mirror. So make sure that your vehicle had that electric function to begin with. Something to keep in mind.That's going to do it for our look at the K Source Replacement Side Mirror.
