Mike Earl: Hi there, I'm Mike Earl 00:00:00:01 with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a quick look at the K-Source Replacement Side Mirror. This is going to replace the driver's side factory mirror on your 2011 through 2013 Hyundai Elantra Sedan. Now, this is modeled after the Elantra's original look and fit, so you really shouldn't be able to tell that it is a replacement. It should look like it came with your vehicle right from the factory. It does have the power remote capability so you can adjust the mirror face position inside your vehicle with the factory power controls.

It's also got the heated mirror glass to clear any frost and ice and help reduce fogging.On the backside we've got the amber light that will flash when we have our turn signal activated. Keep in mind, all of those features are only capable if your vehicle already has those. If your original mirror had them, this one will work. If your original mirror did not have those features, this will not add those features to your vehicle, it just works if you already had them. This is an OE grade product so it's going to be the same quality materials as the original mirror that came with your vehicle from the factory.The front of the glass is plated with a reflective chrome so it's going to give you a nice clear image.

It is a flat lens so you're not going to have to worry about any warping or distortion. It's going to reflect the object's true size behind you so you have a good idea of anything that's coming up behind you. It does have the breakaway design, so if you we're to back into a parking post or your garage door or something like that, the mirror is going to fold in on itself to try and help reduce the impact to the mirror itself, help try and keep any sort of breaking down to a minimum if it can't prevent it altogether. It is a very durable plastic housing, so you shouldn't have to worry about that too much.It does have a nice black finish, but this can be painted to match your vehicle color. If you have a different color, you can paint that to make sure that it's more seamlessly integrated so that it looks like it came with your vehicle right from the factory, but other than that it's pretty easy to get installed.

It's got the same hardware and mounting location. You've also got your electric plug there for some of those advanced power remote controls and heat things. It's really going to be as simple as taking your old mirror off, putting this one on, tightening down the hardware, getting it plugged in, really set to go. You're not going to need any special tools, anything like that. It's going to be very easy to get installed.For those of you who do like the details, this is a replacement for the original equipment number that you see on the screen there.
