Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this K-Source replacement side view mirror. This is going to replace the passenger side factory mirror on several different Ford F-150 models including the 1997 through 2001 models, as well as the 2002 and 2003 Regular and SuperCab, as well as the 2004 Heritage series, both the Regular Cab and the SuperCab. It will also fit the 1997 through 1999 Ford F-250 Light Duty. This is modeled after your Ford F-150's original look and fit, so you're not gonna have to worry about that pieced-together-from-the-junkyard sort of look it's gonna integrate well onto your truck, make it look like it came right from the factory. Because it is modeled after the original same footprint, it's gonna be very easy to switch this out.
You're not gonna have to drill any new foot holes or anything like that. Basically just take off the nuts of the original, pull it out, put this one in its place, get those nuts tightened back down, and you're ready to go. So it's gonna be very simple to get this mounted. This is an OE grade product so it's the same quality materials as the original. The front of the glass is plated with a reflective chrome so it's gonna give you a nice, clear image.
It does have a convex lens, like most of your passenger side mirrors do to provide that wide angle view to help reduce blind spots. This does have the manual mirror face adjustment so that you can get your line of sight angled up properly for you. This does also have a breakaway design, so if you we're to run into the side of your garage or a parking post or something like that, the mirror is going to fold in on itself to try and help absorb some of that shock and reduce the amount of damage done to the housing itself. But this is a nice durable plastic housing with a black finish. This cover can be painted to match your truck.
So, again, it'll be a little bit more integrated, look more seamless for you, if you want to do that. But for those of you who need a little bit more reassurance that this is gonna work for you, this is going to replace the original equipment number that you see on the screen there. So if you're taking your old one off and you see that number or if you're going through your owner's manual that number comes up, you can trust this is going to be the replacement that you need. And this is just the passenger side mirror. If you're also needing the driver's side mirror, we have that available here at etrailer.com.
You can find it using that part number that you see on the screen there. So hopefully you don't need both at the same time, but if you do, we've got you covered there. So that's gonna complete our look for today. I hope this video has helped to relieve any fears you might have had of whether this is going to work with your F-150. I think this is gonna be a really nice option to get you back functional again, not only so that you can see what's coming up behind you, but also so that your truck has a nice finished look again. Thanks for watching, we'll see you next time..
