Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this K Source replacement side view mirror. This is gonna be a direct replacement for the driver's side factory mirror on your 2006 through 2014 Honda Ridgeline. This is modeled after your Honda's original look and fit, so you really shouldn't be able to tell that this is a replacement mirror. Should look like it came with your Ridgeline right from the factory so you don't have to worry about that "pieced together from the junkyard" sort of look. It's going to be very integrated and give you that nice complete look for your Ridgeline, again.
Because it is modeled after the original, it's going to be very simple to get installed. You're not gonna have to do any drilling or anything like that. It's gonna have the same footprint and mounting points as the factory mirror. It's got the plug there for your existing electrical wiring. So very simple to plug in, get put in place, and be ready to go.
This does have the power remote capability, so you can adjust the mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle. It also has the heated mirror glass that's going to allow you to clear frost and ice and help reduce fogging. Now keep in mind that power remote capability and the heated mirror glass will only work if your vehicle already has those functions. This mirror won't add those capabilities if your vehicle wasn't capable of those functions before. This is an OE-grade product.
The front of the glass is plated with a reflective chrome so it's gonna give you a nice clear image. And it is a flat lens like most driver's side mirrors. So it is going to give you a true representation of the object size behind you. So you can see if someone's coming up beside you before you change lanes or as you're going in reverse, make sure that the path is clear. This does have a breakaway design, so the mirror will fold in on itself when struck to help deter breakage.
So if you we're to hit a parking post or the side of your garage or something like that, the mirror's gonna fold in on itself to help absorb some of that impact, reduce the chance of damage. But it does have a durable plastic housing, so it is going to hold up well for you. It's got a nice smooth black finish to it. So again, will look really good with your Honda Ridgeline. For those of you who do need a little bit more reassurance that this is gonna work for you, this is going to be the replacement for the original equipment numbers that you see on the screen there. So if you go through your owner's manual, or when you take off the original mirror, if you see either one of those numbers anywhere, you can trust this is gonna be exactly what you need. And this is just the driver's side mirror. If you're also needing to replace the passenger side, we have that available for you here at etrailer.com as well. And you can use that part number that you see on the screen there to find it. So that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
