Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the K Source Replacement Side Mirror. This is going to be a direct replacement for the passenger side factory mirror on your 2006 through 2012 Ford Ranger. It is modeled after the Rangers original look and fit, so you really shouldn't be able to tell that this is a replacement mirror. It should look like it came with your vehicle right from the factory and that's always important when we're replacing the mirror.
Obviously we want it to look integrated into our vehicle and not just like a junk part or something that we're throwing on there. So this can be a good fit for you. It does have the manual mirror face adjustment so you can get that set where you need it. This is an OE grade product, so it's going to be the same quality materials as your original.The front of the glass is plated with a reflective chrome, so it's going to give you a nice clear reflection of any objects that are behind you. It does have the convex lens, which is pretty standard for most of your passenger side mirrors, so it's going to help reduce blind spots, make sure that you can see everything that's coming up behind you.
It does have the breakaway design, so this you we're to back into a pole or something like that. The mirror will fold in to try and help absorb some of that shock to make sure that you're minimizing the damage to the housing, but it is a very durable plastic housing with this textured black finish, so it's not only going to look good, but it's also going to hold up well for you.As far as the installation, it's going to be very simple. It's got the same footprint as the original, so really all you're going to have to do is take the old one off, put this one on in its place, all the bolts and everything are going to line up the exact same as the original. For those of you who do like details, this is a exact replacement for the original equipment number you see on the screen there so that you can make sure that this is the one that you need. And keep in mind, this is just the passenger side mirror.
