Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the K Source replacement side mirror. This is going to be a direct replacement for the passenger side view mirror on your 1998 through 2004 Ford F-150. There are several different models. There are different packages.

It might not fit all of them. I would encourage you to come to etrailer.com, put in your year, make and model of vehicle, and we have a fit guide that will tell you whether this mirror will fit your vehicle or if there's a different mirror that would be better for you.But overall, general, it's going to fit those year ranges and it is modeled after the manufacturer's original look and fit, so you really shouldn't be able to tell that this is a replacement mirror. It's not going to look like a piece that you got from another vehicle, from the junk yard or anything. It's going to integrate well into the look of your vehicle so that it looks like it came right with your vehicle from the factory.It does have the power remote capability so you can adjust the mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle. It's also got the red LED arrow in the mirror face.

That's going to light up when your turn signal is activated. Those LEDs are the high intensity Muth LEDs, so they're going to be much brighter than your standard turn signal lights. So it's going to be very clear, help catch the attention of anyone that is next to you as you're going down the road.The mirror is an OE-grade, so it's going to be the same high quality materials as the original mirror that came with your vehicle. It's got a convex lens as most passenger mirrors do to help reduce those blind spots. And it is a reflective chrome plating on the front there.

So you're going to have a nice clear image of everything that's behind you.It does have the breakaway design, so if you we're to hit a post or the side of your garage or something like that, it is going to fold in on itself to try and help reduce the amount of damage to the mirror itself. But it is a very durable black, plastic housing with our chrome finish on the back here, as you can see. So it's not only going to hold up well, but it's also going to look really nice. And as far as our installation, it's going to be extremely simple. It's got the same footprint and plug as the original so all you have to do is take the old one off, put this new one on, and get it tightened down and plugged in, and you're ready to go.

You can find that using the part number that you see on the screen.Keep in mind, the power remote capability and the turn signal will only work if your vehicle already has those capabilities. It's not going to add those capabilities on if your vehicle doesn't already have them, but if your original mirror was able to be controlled with the factory power controls and had that turn signal there, it's going to have both those capabilities, and it's going to work right from plugging in, so no worries there.This does come with a 90-day warranty from K Source so you can trust that they're going to stand behind their products.
