Today we are going to take a look at the K-Source replacement side mirror. Now this is going to be a direct replacement for your vehicle. This is gonna fit several different years of the Ford F-150 going from 1997 up to 2004. To be sure that this is going to fit your particular F-150, you'll wanna use our fit guide here at Etrailer.com. Put in your year, make and model and go from there. There are a couple different options between Supercab, Heritage Series and other specifications there, so you wanna make sure that this is a direct fit for you.
This is going to be a replacement for OE number F85Z17683BAA. And this is for the driver's side. We also have the passenger side available. That part number is going to be KS61065F.This is gonna fit the original location on your F-150. You'll just need to reuse the hardware that came off whenever you take off your original mirror.
So there'll be three studs that we need to line up and attach with those nuts that came with our original mirror. It does have that foam backing so we can reduce any wind noise and vibration of our mirror as we're going down the road at highway speeds. Has a breakaway design, so if you're parking in close quarters, maybe going into your garage you'll be able to flatten that mirror out and make a little bit more room. You can also pop off this back cover, get this painted to match your vehicles so that everything looks the same. Has a nice durable plastic housing.
Our lens is going to be a manual adjust or our mirror face is going to be manual adjusting so we can press on that to get it lined up where we need it to be.If you want a power mirror or if your vehicle is equipped with a power mirror that will be a different part number that you'll need to pick up. But this will just have that manual adjustment, has nice flat glass that's OE grade with first surface plating, so we'll get a clear, true, reflective image. It's a pretty easy no drill application, as I mentioned, you'll just have to reuse that hardware that came with it. Does have these little sort of plastic tubes going over those studs to keep them protected, so you'll wanna remove those before you install this.
