Today we're looking at part number CM42000 from CIPA. This is a replacement side mirror for your manually operated mirror on the driver's side of your vehicle, and it's made specifically for the manual mirrors on the Ford Bronco 2, model years 1984-1990, and the Ford Ranger, model years 1983-1992, and the original equipment part number that it replaces is E5TZ17682D. This mirror housing is made of strong ABS black plastic. It can be painted a custom color. It has a break-away design so that it folds in or out when it's struck, and that will deter breakage. It has a flat glass surface with first surface plating, and that reflects sharp, undistorted images.
The front of the glass is plated with reflective chrome, and it gives you a true representation of the size and distance of the reflected objects, so the objects are actually as close as they appear to be, unlike most modern vehicles. So you do see undistorted images. It mounts very easily. It includes two screws and a bracket, and it mounts to your vehicle with the existing hardware, and using the existing mounting holes. This is the driver's side.
It does come with a 1-year warranty. And that's it for part number CM42000, the CIPA replacement side mirror with a manual operation for your driver's side, in the 1984-1990 Ford Bronco 2, or the 1983- 1992 Ford Ranger.
