Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the K-Source replacement side view mirror. This is going to be a direct replacement for the passenger side factory mirror on your 1987 through 1996 Dodge Dakota. This is modeled after your Dakota's original look and fit, so you're really not going to be able to tell that it's a replacement mirror. It's going to look like it came with your Dakota right from the factory.

So you're not going to have to worry about that pieced together from a junkyard kind of look. It's going to look like it came with your Dakota, be a very integrated, seamless look. It does have the manual mirror face adjustment, so you can make sure that you're getting the angle that you need for maximum visibility. It is an OE grade product so it's going to have the same quality materials as your original.The front of the glass is plated with reflective chrome so you're going to get a nice, clear image. It does have a convex lens like most of your passenger side mirrors do to reduce the blind spots, give you a wide angle view.

It is a durable plastic housing with a nice black finish to it. And as far as getting it installed, it's going to be extremely simple. It's got the same mounting footprint as your original mirror. So basically all you have to do is take off your old mirror, put this one in its place, get it tightened down, and you're ready to go. You're not going to have to drill any new holes or worry about glooming or anything like that.

It's the exact same footprint so it's going to be very easy to get installed. Now, for those of you who do need a little bit more reassurance that this is going to work for you, this is going to be an exact replacement for the original equipment number that you see on the screen there.So if you're looking in your Owner's Manual, you see that number, or if you're taking off your original mirror and you happen to see that number, you can trust this is the replacement that you're going to need.
