Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look at this, Flair-It PEX Straight Valve Stop Fitting. This RV Freshwater Plumbing Straight Valve Stop is going to connect pipes and hoses in your RV freshwater plumbing system, and lets you control the flow of water. Whether you're needing to repair leaky connections or install new lines, this is going to work with your PEX pipes, the old gray PB pipes and poly vinyl tubing. The two three eighths of an inch barbed connections are going to fit in three eighths of an inch inner diameter hoses and tubes, and the barbed connections with the compression ends means that you're not gonna need any tools to give you a nice, tight, secure fit.
Now, to install this, you're going to slide the compression nut that we have right here over the pipe, and then you are going to insert this barbed end into the pipe. Now, this is going to take a little bit of doing. You might need to rock this back and forth, and apply at the same time, quite a bit of pressure to get this fitting to slide into that pipe. But then once this fitting is in the pipe, you have that barb fitting in the pipe. You're then going to bring this compression end back over the pipe, and then onto the fitting, and then you're gonna thread it into place, tightening it down, and then that connection is going to be very secure for you.
And then you can do that on the other end as well. Now, overall, we have been very impressed with how secure the connection was on other Flare-it fittings, and so while you can install this by hand without any tools. If you ever need to remove this fitting, from the pipes that you installed this in, that is going to take quite a bit of effort. You might even need some tools or like a pair of vice grips to help you remove this. So once you have this installed, you're gonna have a really tight, secure fit, and you're really not gonna have to worry about it again.
The Polyoxyethylene construction is durable and resistant to stress cracking. That's gonna conclude our real quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
