Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Flair-It PEXLock straight coupler fitting. Now, this RV freshwater plumbing straight coupler is going to connect the pipes in your RV freshwater plumbing system whether you're needing to repair leaky connections or install new lines. This is going to work with your PEX pipes, PERT tubing, and IAPMO approved polyvinyl pipes. The 3/8-inch crimp connections with the PEXLock clamps that you see here means that you don't need any specialized tools for a tight, secure fit.
And these reusable clamps, PEXLock clamps, are installed with just a pair of pliers, and then they can be removed with the screwdriver. Now, to install this, you're going to slide the PEXLock clamp on or over your pipe rather, and you wanna make sure that the straight cut end is flush, and so the pipe will be flush here with the clamp. And then you're going to insert the fitting into the end of the pipe. And then you wanna make sure that it meets the positive stop on the fitting. And then finally, you're going to use a pair of pliers to squeeze the two ears on the clamp until you hear a click or until the two ears overlap and engage each other.
So the connection's going to be very tight, very secure for you. Overall, we've been very impressed with other Flair-It fittings and just how good the connections are. I don't think you're really gonna have to worry about leaks or the fitting coming undone. Once you have the the fitting secured in place, that's gonna be very tight for you. To remove this fitting, you're just gonna carefully use ablated screwdriver to remove the PEXLock clamp.
