Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look at this Flare-It PEX 90 degree elbow fitting. This RV freshwater plumbing fitting is going to connect pipes and hoses in your RV freshwater plumbing system, whether you're needing to repair leaky connections or install new lines. This works with your PEX pipes, the old gray PB pipes, and poly vinyl tubing. Now this elbow fitting has two 3/8th of an inch barb connections that are going to, of course, fit 3/8s of an inch inner diameter hoses and tubes, and the barbed connections with the compression end is going to mean that you don't need any tools to give you a secure fit with this fitting.
Now, obviously, the 90 degree elbow is going to let the flow of water change direction without the risk of kinking your tubing. And to install this you're going to slide the compression nuts that we have here over the pipe. So you'll begin by sliding that compression end over the pipe first, and then you're going to insert this barbed end into that pipe. Now this is going to take a little bit of doing, you're gonna have to rock that back and forth while you're applying quite a bit of pressure to get that to slide into place. But then once that's in, you're just going to bring that compression end back over the pipe and onto the fitting.
And then you're just going to thread it into place tighten it down, and then you're gonna have a secure fitting. Of course, you'll do that with the other end as well. Now, we have been very impressed with how secure the connection was on other Flare-It fittings. So while you can solve this by hand, if you ever need to remove this elbow fitting, it is going to take quite a bit of effort to remove it. You might even have to use tools such as a pair of vice grips to remove that fitting, because that's how secure this connection is going to be once you have that barbed fitting inserted into that pipe.
And then once you have that compression and tightened down it's going to be secure and you're not gonna have to worry about it at all. It's gonna be a nice, tight, secure fit. Now the polyoxyethylene construction is gonna be very durable and resistant to stress cracking. And that's gonna conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you.
Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
