Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Flair-It PEX adapter fitting. This is gonna help to connect your pipes and hoses in your RV freshwater plumbing system. So whether you're repairing a leaky connection or installing new lines, this will do a great job for you. It works with your PEX pipes, the old gray PB pipes and your polyvinyl tubing. So we've got our 3/4-inch MPT connection here that's gonna fit hoses and tubes with a 3/4-inch FPT fitting.
And then on the other end, we have our 1/2-inch barbed connection that's gonna fit your hose, hoses and tubes with 1/2-inch inner diameter. So the way this works, you're not gonna need any tools to get it installed. You've got that barbed connection with the compression end here. So you'll just slide that compression end onto your tube, and then you'll fit that barbed fitting inside the tube. Now that can take a little bit of doing.
You might have to wiggle it back and forth a bit and apply quite a bit of pressure to get that inside of the tube. But once it is inserted, you'll just slide that compression fitting down and then thread that in place, and that is going to give you a nice, solid connection. I actually tried this out myself the other night on a very similar item, and that is a very solid connection. Just tightening it down by hand, I had to use some vice grips to get it to come off, so it's gonna be a nice secure connection. One thing I will note for you is, it can take a bit of leverage force to put the barbed end in your hose.
So if you're gonna be working in a confined space or something like that, you might want to try and put that fitting on your hose before you get into that confined space, just to allow you that extra leverage to get it all assembled properly. But this is a polyoxymethylene construction, so it is gonna be very durable and resistant to stress cracking. This is just one of the many options we have available here at etrailer.com for your PEX connection. So if you are gonna be making multiple connections for your project, I would encourage you to check out some of those other options, make sure you're getting all the connections that you need. And that completes our look for today.
Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.

Had to wait for the ordered part to be in stock. However, that is not the fault of the supplier. Part was then shipped promptly. Installed same. Satisfied with the result.
