The Firman Zero E is a robust power station with room to expand. The base unit can store more than 1,000 watts of power, and each battery expansion pack (FIR68VR - sold separately) provides an additional 1,000 watts. You can use up to 10 expansion packs for an incredible amount of power storage.

The Zero E is capable of 2,000 watts of sustained power output with 4,000 watts of surge output when appliances kick on. You can wire two base units in parallel using the included cable to double this capacity to 4,000 watts running and 8,000 watts surge.

Unlike a traditional gas-powered generator, the Zero E provides clean, silent energy and is safe to use inside your RV or home. Take it along while camping off-grid to power lights, small appliances, and keep devices charged. Even at a campsite, the power station can be a lifesaver if the power goes out.

The Zero E can also be used as an uninterruptable power supply. Plug your computer, appliances, or other sensitive equipment into the power station and keep the power station plugged into the wall. The Zero E stays charged while powering whatever is plugged into it. If the power goes out, it switches over to battery backup instantly.

Power Output and Input Options

One of the best features of the Zero E is the array of options you have to plug in devices without using any adapters or dongles. Of course, it has 4 AC outlets to power most anything, but it also has a 30-amp outlet to plug in your RV's power cord. A single battery doesn't have enough storage to power an entire campout, but if your trailer's battery dies and you need to get the slides in before you leave, this power station will save the day.

Charge your devices with the 4 USB-A outputs and 2 USB-C outputs. There's also a wireless charging spot on top of the power station to charge cell phones and other devices that support wireless charging.

Charge your battery using the included cables by plugging into an outlet at home, or use the DC cable for charging using your vehicle's DC outlet. It's also got a built-in MPPT solar charge controller, so you can use a solar panel setup with MC4 cables and the included adapter. There's no need to buy a solar panel with a separate solar controller, but be sure that your combined solar output does not exceed 50V. In a pinch, one of the USB-C ports can also be used as an input to charge the battery.

Video Transcript for Review of Firman Portable Chargers - 2,000W Lithium Power Station - FIR48VR

Hi there, I'm Michael with "etrailer.com". Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Firman Zero E portable power station. This power station has an internal lithium iron phosphate battery that will provide clean silent power for your RV or home backup needs. This isn't going to emit any emissions or carbon monoxide so it is gonna be safe for indoor use. We've got several different outlet options to allow you to charge devices plug in your equipment and power your RV. You can see we've got four of these 20 amp outlets for plugging in your electrical appliances and tools.

We've got the 30 amp outlet. For powering your RV's electrical system. Here on the front we've got four of these USB A ports and two of the USB C ports. We also have the wireless charger on top so we can charge up our phones, tablets and other devices. So if you're experiencing a power outage you're not going to be worried about your devices draining down too far.

We also have the 12 volt car outlet port so you can plug in anything there that would normally plug into your car's cigarette lighter port on your vehicle. This is going to have this easy to-read LCD display that's going to allow you to monitor your battery level check to see how quick your system is charging up or how quick the power is going out. So that you can tell how much time you're gonna have left on your system. It's kind of hard for you to see that at that angle, but if I tilt that forward. You can kind of see that display a little bit better.

This power station is going to offer 1040 watts hour capacity so it is going to sustain a 100 watt draw for over 10 hours. So it will do a a great job for you as a, a backup device or if you're wanting to go off grid, it'll allow you to run there as well. This does have a running or rated power output of 2000 watts and a starting or surge power output of 4,000 watts this is compatible with expansion power packs. We do have an example of one of those here that I can show you. These are sold separately, but they do make this a very versatile option so you can add more power in, to accommodate higher demand needs.

So we'll just get our expansion pack set in place here and then show you how they connect. It's pretty simple to do and just locks in place like that. And you can get these expansion packs here at etrailer using that part number that you see on the screen there. You can stack up to 10 of these with your power station to get extra capacity so that you can have even more time off grid and that sort of thing. And then to disconnect, we just push in on this lever here and that will allow it to come free. So again, sold separately but a really nice option to add some extra capacity to your system and being able to add several is going to be really nice allowing you to customize it to your power needs. This is going to weigh about 40 pounds. Our batteries are gonna weigh a little bit less than 30. So keep in mind as you're stacking up to 10 that is going to increase your weight a little bit. The power station can also be connected in parallel to another power station for up to 3,600 watts of power. This does charge up very quickly. It's got a fast charge technology that allows you to charge up to 80% capacity in one hour. We've got several different ways of getting it charged. If you want to hook up to your home AC or to a generator power, you can use this cable. You also have the option to hook up to solar panels. Those panels are sold separately but you can use up to 50 volts of solar power to charge this up using this cable here. You also have the option to charge it up with your vehicle so you plug that in and charge it that way. So several different options and they do include this mesh bag that you can keep all those cords in keep it all organized so it's ready for you, next time you need it. I do wanna give you a few measurements here so you can see where this is going to fit for your application. So our overall length we're sitting at right about 16 inches. Our width is approximately 10 5/8 of an inch. And then our height is just over 11 inches we'll call it one, 11 and 1/8 of an inch tall. Your battery pack as I displayed earlier. It is going to be about 7 1/4 of an inch tall. So keep in mind if you're adding those on it is gonna add some height with each one that you add in. And this does come with instructions to help you get everything set up and operate it properly. But overall, a great option here especially if you're wanting to have an, a backup plan if the power we're to go out or if you're wanting to power up your RV and this is gonna be a great way to go. That completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
