Westin's Signature Series round nerf bars are constructed of high-grade galvanized steel. This material is made of a mixture of alloys that provides layers of resistance to rust caused by oxidation. The step pad areas on the bars are indented instead of cut out, maintaining the structural integrity of the steel tubing and preventing internal corrosion. And the nerf bars have a black powder coat that adds an extra layer of protection. Now you can take any type of weather head-on.
As shown in the image above, these step bars have a U-style tubing, which ensures that each bar conforms perfectly to your vehicle. Installation is quick and simple - just bolt the mounting brackets to existing holes in your truck's frame. No drilling is required.

Video Transcript for Westin Signature Series Nerf Bars Installation - 2002 Mazda B Series Pickup
Today on this 2002 Mazda B-Series Pickup, two door regular cab, we're going to install part number 25-2105. This is a Westin Signature Series Round Nerf Bars, 3" Black Powder Colored Steel. Now on the passenger's side of our truck, we already have them installed, so you see what they look like. Next we'll go ahead and show you how they get installed and we'll do that on the driver's side. We're going to start at the front of our truck and begin with installing the hardware for our brackets. This plate right here with the weld nuts built into it, we're going to install into this structure right here.
We're going to go through this access hole, push it in place and the other half will line up with this hole right here. Now the cutout and the plate goes around the bolt that goes through here. Next our bracket will get installed like this. Now the hardware that we'll use will be the small metric bolt, a lock washer and a flat washer. It'll thread into our nuts right here. For both these tension points we'll have the same hardware.
We definitely want to leave these loose for now. Now we need to work on our brace. Now this is our brace right here. There are two ends, this end will match up to this hole. Then this other end here will match up to an existing hole on the body work here.
Now the hardware will be the same bolt that we used before, with a flat washer, then it goes through the brace. Then through our sheet metal and then a flat washer, a lock washer and a nut. We'll go ahead and leave that loose for now as well. That's it for the front bracket. Let's go ahead and work with the back bracket. This will fit up in here against the sheet metal.
This hole will fit right here against this hole. Then this hole here, this T-shaped hole will line up to an existing hole here. Some models occasionally won't have this hole, so we to drill it out. All right our hardware will be the same small bolt with a flat washer, then our bracket which will go on top. Then a flat washer, a lock washer and nut. Okay, then the same hardware will go for a top attachment point. Once again we're just going to get our hardware just finger tight, but yet you can move it around. Now we can go ahead and put out tube step into place. This hardware will be the large bolt, lock washer, and flat washer. In the front here, this will go through the brace and a bracket. Then we'll take the tube step and put it into place and thread it in. Once again, just enough to take up the slack. We'll do this on both sides. All right with all of our hardware loosely installed, we'll go ahead and start tightening down the bolts. Then we'll torque them down as described in the instructions. We'll do the bolts first that go from the bracket to the bodywork. Now to tighten these down we're using a 9/16ths socket and wrench. Done with the back, let's go to the front. We'll go ahead and tighten down our bolts to our tube step. With all our hardware tightened down we'll go ahead and torque down the bolts as specified in the instructions. Okay with that, that'll finish it for our install of Part number 25-2105. This is the Westin Signature Series Round Nerf Bar Three Inch With A Black Powder Coat Steel on our 2002 Mazda B-Series Pickup. .

After 1 year, everything looks nice and has stayed stiff & attached. My 3 yr old daughter can climb in and out on her own, plus her Grandparents can too :-)
Instructions were clear and I was able to install them on my own w/ no special tools needed.

I had these bars installed on my wife's 2004 Santa Fe as a birthday present. She was expecting something else, though. So while they may not make a good present for the wife and end up landing you in the doghouse, they are functional. Mainly I wanted the two little ones to have an easier time getting in and out of the vehicle and the bars are just right for their little feet (the older one is a bit of a clutz).
They are positioned a little more under/close to the vehicle body than I'd like but they still look good. As for the wife, well, I recommend going with jewelry, a day at the spa, or a romantic dinner, unless your wife is really into tube steps.

Nerf bars were packaged well and came exactly as described. Easy install with clear instructions. Installed on 1995 Ford F-150 2wd in about an hour. Bars make nice step for wife and kids to use. Nice chrome addition to new chrome bumpers. Another good experience with etrailer.com. Thanks!

I gave this product a good rating because of the misinformation on the installation rather than the construction of the product or the delivery of the product. The product was advertised as no drilling required, but when it came, the instructions plainly stated you needed a drill to complete the installation. In fact it required drilling a hole that was larger than any of my drill bits. Fortunately, I was able to install it without drilling a hole, it just doesn't give as much support as you would like.

Great, as described, one year later still look good. These were a replacement for the original which had rusted badly. I painted these with rattle can bed liner, dull black works better with my vehicle. Plus powder coating just doesn’t hold up stuff is a poor substitute for paint.

The nerf bars bars were shipped quickly which was a nice surprise! Product was well packaged although two items were missing, the two “ square head cup point set screws” were nowhere to be found! The instructions were pretty good with a very clear schematic...my other suggestion is to state more clearly the fact that two of the nuts are fine thread and two are coarse. I am not mechanically gifted so any missed parts or unclear instructions can really screw things up for me! Overall...I give a “B+”!

I am familiar with the product. They are easy to install, no drilling had them on 2 previous trucks. E-Trailer had a great deal on the bars – couldn’t walk by. The price is too good. Instructions are very poorFirst,good shipping time.Great communication from E-trailer.Good product from westin.The bad is probably the worst install instructions I have ever seen.No part #s on sheet.It took me 1hr. to figure it out.After not looking at the instructions and crawing under the truck it was very simple to install.Westin should rewright the instructions.

Your only option at this time is to simply replace the entire unit with # 25-2105, which will come with the needed brackets and hardware to install the nerf bars on your 2007 Ford Ranger.

The instructions, linked for reference, leave a lot to be desired. Usually they are more specific but in this case you would have to mount the frame brackets where there is nothing in the way on the frame. If that is not possible without moving things then I do not recommend these nerf bars. For black bars that attach to the rocker panel instead of the frame you can use # 25-1555...
