Today on our 2011 Ford Edge, well be installing the DZNXC running boards, part number DZ16201-16220. Some applications may be equipped with an underbody panel. If so, as in this application, well need to cut out a portion of the underbody panel or remove it completely and not reinstall it. For this application, we are going to simply cut it out. Next, we will identify the front and rear mounting brackets. Along with the brackets, we can also go ahead and attach the hardware.
Well take the 8-mm bolt and the 1.252 tab well nut and put it through the outside attachment point of the front bracking. Then on the rear attachment point, well use the 8-mm 1.25 single tab spot well nut. Well put the bolt through the bracket and then secure it with the nut. As we install the nuts, well do just enough to secure the tabs in place. Well go ahead and repeat the same process for our rear hardware on the rear bracket.
Now with our brackets prepared, well go ahead and take the front bracket and set it into place over the attachment points. Using a paint marker, well cut out the area for the inside attachment point that will need to be cut out for the underbody panel. Note, before we marked and cut it out, Im going to go ahead and remove the fastener that will be in the way. This is a pushpin fastener, so well use a flat blade screwdriver to pry out the center of the fastener and then completely remove it. Now well put our bracket in position and trace out around the attachment point.
With that done, we can now use the utility knife or a rotary tool to cut it out. Now with our cutout made, well go ahead and put the front bracket in position. Well feed the outside tab up into the oblong slot of the body of the vehicle and then turn it, locking it into place. Next, well repeat the same process with the inside single tab. Now well go ahead and tighten down the bracket, taking up some of the looseness of the hardware.
However, well leave it loose enough that we can still make adjustments as necessary. Next, well move to the rear bracket and repeat the same process installing the larger well nut tab on the outside attachment point first into the hole precut out by the manufacturer and then the inside attachment point which is also pre-drilled or cut out by the manufacturer. Now with the hardware in place, once again, well go ahead and tighten it down but leaving the bracket slightly loose so it can still be adjusted as necessary. Now were ready to install the running board into the bracket. Well go ahead and put our hardware in position in the running board and then the running board to the bracket. Well use the 8-mm studs provided with the install kit and go through the cutout and the channel on the bottom side of the running board. Put the stud into position and slide one forward and one to the rear of the running board. Well do this for both channels. Note, youll see where the cutouts in the bottom of the running board are offset. Now with the studs in place, well go ahead and install the running board onto the front and rear brackets, lining the studs up with the pre-drilled holes in the bracket. Once we have the running board studs in place on the brackets, well go ahead and install the 8-mm flange nuts loosely. Now with all the hardware installed, well go ahead and tighten down the bracket to the body of the vehicle first starting with the outside fastener and then the inside fastener. Now with the bracket hardware tightened down, well move to the running board. Here well make adjustments centering the running board between the wheel wells as necessary. Once we have the running board in position, well go ahead and tighten it down. Now that we have all our fasteners secure here on the drivers side, well go ahead and repeat the same process on the passenger side and with both sides installed and secure, this will complete the installation of the DZNXC running board, part number DZ-16220 on our 2011 Ford Edge.

Mounting hardware is a bit tricky and pictures on instruction are almost not viewable. The wing bolts would be easier to tighten if a little longer. Took about 1.5 hours for install
After looking over all running boards for a 2020 Dodge Durango GT, many stated that they fit all Durango's but not the GT. Asked the question of which would be recommended and this is what I ordered. Very high quality and fit perfect. Install was easy and took about a hour. Looks fantastic and are very sturdy. Highly recommend these to anyone.
Installed on my 2021 Durango R/T. Fitment was perfect with a small adjustment to the installation instructions. The L brackets need to be installed on opposite side of frame lip to allow them to clear the spoiler. Only other concern is the threaded plates to hold the larger brackets. They don't look like they will hold properly over time so I'm looking for better bolts. Otherwise, they look great. Only took about an hour to install.
Looks great on my Explorer, no problems with the installation done by myself without using a lift or jacks. I would buy these again
These boards worked! The stainless on top probably looks best on the Lincoln because that lower composite moulding is more grey, than black. (And really, once the board was held up to the car, the stainless kind of just disappeared.) Not to mention hard to keep clean. I think on the black car, the boards I ordered look the best. If I had a color like green, blue, white, etc...the solid black would look best. Mud flaps along with the boards would have been just too much. If it were a 1/2 ton pickup, would be great, but not for a crossover. That's just my opinion though! Wanted to share pictures, while not the greatest, in case anyone else struggled with what would look best & what to buy. Nice to have a variety of pictures & impossible for you to put every combo on every vehicle!
Installation was fairly easy. A couple holes on my truck were difficult to hook into. There's no torque specs for the bracket bolts so I may have tightened too much because the front side broke free of the bolt heads on one end. After moving the rail over I re-tightened and haven't had any problems since. Looks good, easy to clean. Would recommend.
These are great running boards for my 2017 Nissan Pathfinder. I really like how they stay kinda hidden until you open the door. Installation was very simple thanks to the etrailer.com instruction video. The paper instructions are worthless. They’ve been copied so many times that they are unreadable. Watch the video a couple of times and the install will make sense. One of the boards arrived with a couple of scratches to the powdercoat, but I was able to cover them up with a paint touch up pen. QC should’ve been a bit better from Dee Zee. Still, I feel these running boards are the best out there for my Pathfinder. They are strong and look great. I highly recommend these running boards.

Delivery was very fast. Instructions were pictures, with no text, so watching the video on etrailer is a big help. My vehicle is the "Overland" model, with the Trail rated package, which means it has "Skid Plates" underneath. In order to install these, I had to remove two Skid Plates, which anyone can do, but they are heavy. I had to use a Dremel Tool, to cut a notch in each plate so that I could install the Bracket. Spray Painted the plates, where they were cut. Where I had to cut the Skid Plate did not hurt their integrity at all. Then re-install the Skid Plates, and install the brackets. If you don't have skid plates, this is an easy install.
Looking for foot rails for my wife 2018 Nissan Murano, Platinum. I had them installed by a local shop. I was nervous about ordering them because the car has molded mud flaps, but I was sent a pic of a car just like my wife with mud flaps and felt more comfortable ordering them.
Product was exactly as described. Note - this fits the 2017 Durango GT perfectly!!!

Good quality running boards. I used the video that is on Etrailer.com web site to see how they are installed. Since I own a Equinox it was a no brainer. They look great and are super strong. Only time will tell on how long they stay looking like new. :)
My wife was having a hard time getting into our Honda CRV on the passenger side so I decided to order running boards. I found some online from a different company that said that they would fit my vehicle but when they arrived they did not. I contacted the company and they said that they would send instructions so I could modify my vehicle to allow they to fit. I packed them up and sent them back!! Then I saw your video online and went to the website to check them out. I ordered them and as you can see from the picture they look great on our CRV! My wife loves using them to get into the vehicle now!!!
Overall product seems good and has worked well after a few days. Installation instructions were difficult to read as they were actual black & white photographs which had been photocopied multiple times. Drawings like most other assembly instructions include would have been much better. On-line instructions are easier to see. Nutsert set tool is a piece of junk. No idea why an allen socket was used for the head instead of a hex head. Trying to compress the nutsert I stripped the tool. Dee Zee did send another tool, but that one stripped as well. Went to home improvement store and got proper bolt with hex head to finish installation. Be prepared to spend some time under your vehicle compressing the nutsert. Once you get those four in place the rest is typical installation and product works well. I recommend DeeZee provide better installation pictures and improve the nutsert tool. Guess I'm lucky I didn't have to drill anything?
Awesome product. The pictures in directions were grainy and hard to decipher but once we figured it out it was pretty simple install.
Running boards make jeep look great plus protect the door from little cars that park to close and try to give you door dings.

These Running boards are worth the money; they are heavy duty and easy to install. I put then on my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit. Awesome product!!
It has been exactly a year since I bought and installed this on my 2017 Nissan Pathfinder. The running board is well made and solid. The chrome trim matches perfectly with the vehicle body side chrome moldings. No issue so far.

nice product , good quality, brackets very beefy and thick gauge. Instructions are very difficult to follow. pictures are poor quality. brackets could be marked r,l,rear, front, but I will figure it out.
It's been a year now with these boards on my 4Runner. No problems. Very happy with these. Etrailer was great and shipped my boards quickly
