Today on our 2013 Chevrolet Equinox well be installing the Dee Zee NXC Running Boards with Installation Kit for Crossover Vehicles in the black with chrome trim, part number DZ16202-16212. Well go ahead and take one of our running boards and flip it over. You notice that theres two round circles cut out on the underside as well as two tracks that run the length of it. Well need to install a total of four 8mm square head bolts, two in each of the slots. Once you have each of the bolts installed in the slot well go ahead and slide the bolts one on either end for both of the tracks. Now well begin here on the passenger side front bracket. The outermost mounting location well install an 8mm by 25mm hex nut and our double tab weld nut. For the rear hole it will again be an 8mm by 25mm hex nut by this time it will be a single tab weld flange. You want to just barely start each of them as it needs to have some movement in order for it to slide into the holes that are in the frame.
Now on the rear bracket the innermost mounting hole we use this large thread plate and a 3/8 bolt. For the outer mounting location well again be using an 8mm hex bolt and a double tab weld nut. Now the two holes on the vehicles frame that we will be mounting the front bracket on are located here. The little tabs that we attached to the top side of the bracket will slide into each of these holes and then the nut will be tightened down securing the bracket to the frame. Heres our two rear mounting locations that well be using over here on the passenger side. Well again take the bracket, raise up on the tabs and slide them into the holes in the frame. A quick tech tip: if you gently hold downward on the bracket here as youre tightening down the bolts it will help keep the plates that we installed in the frame from spinning as youre tightening things down. Now well need to attach the small brackets that well attach the bracket on the vehicles frame to our running board itself.
Well be using this hole here, this hole and this hole. For the rear bracket well go ahead and use an 8mm by 20mm hex bolt and an 8mm nut. Well go ahead and put it in this outer hole right here and well leave it loose so the bracket can move until we get our running board mounted to it. Now take your front bracket and line up the holes. Well again leave the front bracket loose until we get the running board mounted to it. Now well go ahead and take our running board and well align the four square head bolts that we installed earlier with the holes that line up in the brackets. Well then loosely put an 8mm nut on each of the bolts.
Then well go ahead and place in our remaining bolts. We will then raise the running board into place and install it finger tight first. Then we can go back and tighten them. Now well need to adjust the running board where we want it to sit between the wheel wells. Once we have the running board situated where we want it well go ahead and tighten down the four nuts for both of the tracks. Now that weve completed the install over here on the passenger side well go ahead and repeat the same process over on the drivers side. And with that, thats all there is to it to installing the Dee Zee running boards, part number DZ16202-16212 on our 2013 Chevrolet Equinox. .

Mounting hardware is a bit tricky and pictures on instruction are almost not viewable. The wing bolts would be easier to tighten if a little longer. Took about 1.5 hours for install
After looking over all running boards for a 2020 Dodge Durango GT, many stated that they fit all Durango's but not the GT. Asked the question of which would be recommended and this is what I ordered. Very high quality and fit perfect. Install was easy and took about a hour. Looks fantastic and are very sturdy. Highly recommend these to anyone.
Installed on my 2021 Durango R/T. Fitment was perfect with a small adjustment to the installation instructions. The L brackets need to be installed on opposite side of frame lip to allow them to clear the spoiler. Only other concern is the threaded plates to hold the larger brackets. They don't look like they will hold properly over time so I'm looking for better bolts. Otherwise, they look great. Only took about an hour to install.
Looks great on my Explorer, no problems with the installation done by myself without using a lift or jacks. I would buy these again
Installation was fairly easy. A couple holes on my truck were difficult to hook into. There's no torque specs for the bracket bolts so I may have tightened too much because the front side broke free of the bolt heads on one end. After moving the rail over I re-tightened and haven't had any problems since. Looks good, easy to clean. Would recommend.
These boards worked! The stainless on top probably looks best on the Lincoln because that lower composite moulding is more grey, than black. (And really, once the board was held up to the car, the stainless kind of just disappeared.) Not to mention hard to keep clean. I think on the black car, the boards I ordered look the best. If I had a color like green, blue, white, etc...the solid black would look best. Mud flaps along with the boards would have been just too much. If it were a 1/2 ton pickup, would be great, but not for a crossover. That's just my opinion though! Wanted to share pictures, while not the greatest, in case anyone else struggled with what would look best & what to buy. Nice to have a variety of pictures & impossible for you to put every combo on every vehicle!
Delivery was very fast. Instructions were pictures, with no text, so watching the video on etrailer is a big help. My vehicle is the "Overland" model, with the Trail rated package, which means it has "Skid Plates" underneath. In order to install these, I had to remove two Skid Plates, which anyone can do, but they are heavy. I had to use a Dremel Tool, to cut a notch in each plate so that I could install the Bracket. Spray Painted the plates, where they were cut. Where I had to cut the Skid Plate did not hurt their integrity at all. Then re-install the Skid Plates, and install the brackets. If you don't have skid plates, this is an easy install.
These are great running boards for my 2017 Nissan Pathfinder. I really like how they stay kinda hidden until you open the door. Installation was very simple thanks to the etrailer.com instruction video. The paper instructions are worthless. They’ve been copied so many times that they are unreadable. Watch the video a couple of times and the install will make sense. One of the boards arrived with a couple of scratches to the powdercoat, but I was able to cover them up with a paint touch up pen. QC should’ve been a bit better from Dee Zee. Still, I feel these running boards are the best out there for my Pathfinder. They are strong and look great. I highly recommend these running boards.

Looking for foot rails for my wife 2018 Nissan Murano, Platinum. I had them installed by a local shop. I was nervous about ordering them because the car has molded mud flaps, but I was sent a pic of a car just like my wife with mud flaps and felt more comfortable ordering them.
Product was exactly as described. Note - this fits the 2017 Durango GT perfectly!!!
Easy to install. Directions were hard to read, had to get print out from Dee Zee website. Parts bag opened in the box, but no parts were lost!

Good quality running boards. I used the video that is on Etrailer.com web site to see how they are installed. Since I own a Equinox it was a no brainer. They look great and are super strong. Only time will tell on how long they stay looking like new. :)
My wife was having a hard time getting into our Honda CRV on the passenger side so I decided to order running boards. I found some online from a different company that said that they would fit my vehicle but when they arrived they did not. I contacted the company and they said that they would send instructions so I could modify my vehicle to allow they to fit. I packed them up and sent them back!! Then I saw your video online and went to the website to check them out. I ordered them and as you can see from the picture they look great on our CRV! My wife loves using them to get into the vehicle now!!!
Overall product seems good and has worked well after a few days. Installation instructions were difficult to read as they were actual black & white photographs which had been photocopied multiple times. Drawings like most other assembly instructions include would have been much better. On-line instructions are easier to see. Nutsert set tool is a piece of junk. No idea why an allen socket was used for the head instead of a hex head. Trying to compress the nutsert I stripped the tool. Dee Zee did send another tool, but that one stripped as well. Went to home improvement store and got proper bolt with hex head to finish installation. Be prepared to spend some time under your vehicle compressing the nutsert. Once you get those four in place the rest is typical installation and product works well. I recommend DeeZee provide better installation pictures and improve the nutsert tool. Guess I'm lucky I didn't have to drill anything?
Awesome product. The pictures in directions were grainy and hard to decipher but once we figured it out it was pretty simple install.
The nerf bars have been on one year and still look great. There is no rust or pitting on them. I am pleased with the quality of bars and pleased with etrailer! Thank you!
Running boards make jeep look great plus protect the door from little cars that park to close and try to give you door dings.

It has been exactly a year since I bought and installed this on my 2017 Nissan Pathfinder. The running board is well made and solid. The chrome trim matches perfectly with the vehicle body side chrome moldings. No issue so far.
nice product , good quality, brackets very beefy and thick gauge. Instructions are very difficult to follow. pictures are poor quality. brackets could be marked r,l,rear, front, but I will figure it out.
Sturdy, well made and attractive on the car. The installation instructions are extremely helpful especially with photos. It took 2 people about 1 hour to do both sides. It's my wife's car and she loves them. TPA
