Ellen: Hey, everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Taylor Made Removable Cord Protector. This helps to keep your rope from getting damaged or frayed as it's moving across your boat deck, and it also helps to protect your paint through your gel coat as well. So we can take a little closer look at it and see what this material is and how it works. It's pretty simple. Just has a hook-and-loop closure going all the way down this chafe guard. So you can put this on without having to untie the rope. So you can just undo this all the way.
And something that's kind of smart is that they put two different hook sides or hook materials on here, so if you have a larger rope, it can be a little bit fatter. And if you have a smaller rope, you can make it fit really nice and tight. So you can go over that side, or it can also just act as a way to really tightly wrap this around. So if we do it on the inner side here, can go like that, and then come around. It also can be there to help to grip the rope itself, so this isn't going to slide along the length of the rope.
It's going to help to grip that and hold it in place. So pretty straight forward as far as that insulation goes. This material is a 1050-Denier nylon, so it's going to be very durable, can hardly even see through it. So, definitely going to be up to the task to last for many years and should just be able to quickly and easily get that on your rope and protect it from any kind of abrasions or issues. It works with 1 inch diameter ropes. It's about 3 inches.. or excuse me, it's about 3 feet long and about an 1 in diameter.
So, hence why it will work for that diameter rope. You just get the one chafe guard. It is made in the USA, and that's pretty much all there is to it for our look at the Taylor Made Chafe Guard. I hope this video has been helpful. Again, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com.Thanks for watching.
