Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the half-height MOLLE panels for your Kuat Ibex truck bed racks. Now this is going to be a look at the line of half-height MOLLE panels because Kuat does make them for the different sizes of Ibex. So whether you've got a mid-size truck or a full-size truck, you can find the right kit for you. It's also probably important to note that if you do run your Ibex in the full height configuration, that there's separate MOLLE panels that will work with those. And in most cases, that's probably what I would recommend, just because it's gonna give you so much more usable space.

And this short half-profile one is really only gonna be useful for certain accessories. If you've got a bag that can utilize MOLLE panels to attach. We ran into an issue where this was just too short and it didn't work with what we had on hand, and I think this is going to lend itself better to some Kuat accessories like their shovel mount, which really only needs one line of these slots to attach to. And it's gonna share the same aluminum construction that the rest of the Ibex does and has that black powder coat over the top keeping things scratch and scuff resistant, but also resistant to corrosion over time. With it being aluminum, there is a little bit of flex on parts of the panels where I'm just applying some pressure.

With it not being steel, I think there's something that you're gonna find, but it is still plenty sturdy. All of the points where it bolts into helps keep it rock solid and it's a really nice fit. And on the back side you can get a better look at how it attaches bolting into these channels on the bottom and the top of the Ibex uprights. And that's all there is to it. Really, the half-height MOLLE panel for me isn't as big a deal just because I feel like it lacks a lot of function that the full height one does.

But if you're running your Ibex in this low profile configuration, then this is what you got to work with and it does give you a way to mount up some accessories. You're just gonna be a little bit more limited. So if you have something like a large bag that can mount to MOLLE panels, you might be better off looking into some truck bed MOLLE panel options. You can plug your vehicle information into our fit guide and find the right kit for you if there is one. But otherwise, that'll do it for our look at this short height MOLLE panel for your Kuat Ibex truck bed racks.
