Klean 'N Prime anaerobic activator cleans parts and promotes hardening of anaerobic threadlockers, sealants, gasket makers and bearing mounts on materials that otherwise limit curing. Speeds set on all materials in cold temperatures (below 70 F).

The curing process of certain threadlockers, sealants, gasket makers and bearing mounts requires that they contact active materials (those that tarnish, corrode or rust) rather than be exposed to air. These products are called "anaerobic" and, when used on surfaces that aren't active, require the use of a primer such as Klean 'N Prime to allow them to cure.

Klean 'N Prime stimulates the curing process of Loctite and other anaerobic products when used on inactive materials, which include plated parts, stainless steel, galvanized steel, magnetite steel, pure aluminum, titanium, magnesium, gold, silver, plastics, cadmium, Iconel, zinc, natural or chemical black oxide and anodized aluminum. Active materials include brass, copper, bronze, iron, soft steel and nickel.

Klean 'N Prime cleans surfaces to be joined by thinning light oil contamination (especially the light oil used by machinists and rebuilders to prevent rust), and it should not be wiped off after application. For highly contaminated surfaces, use another cleaner (that is wiped off) before applying Klean 'N Prime.

Klean 'N Prime decreases the cure times of threadlockers, gasket makers, sealants and bearing mounts on any material, active or inactive (especially in temperatures below 70 F). It also increases the friction-creating capacity of bearing mounts by filling up space in applications with the largest clearances for which the bearing mount is designed.

After Klean 'N Prime is sprayed on a surface, it must dry before threadlockers, sealants, bearing mounts or gasket makers are applied. Drying time is about 30 seconds.
