Installation

As with any Jeep soft top, the California Brief should be laid out in the sun prior to installation so that the material can warm up. Once the material is warm to the touch, you can more easily stretch the top over your vehicle. Installation requires a factory or aftermarket windshield channel. If you are replacing a factory hard top and therefore do not have this part already, you will need to purchase it separately.

To install the California Brief, first lay the front of the top over your windshield channel and tuck the plastic strip along the edge of the top into the channel. Drilling may be required to install snaps at the corners of your windshield. To secure the rear of the top, just run the integrated corner straps through your Jeep's existing rear footman loops. If your Jeep does not have factory footman loops, use the included loops. Drilling is required to mount the included footman loops to your Jeep.
