Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this MORryde Jeep Overhead Storage Box. This is a locking overhead storage box that's going to maximize the storage space in your Jeep. It is gonna be perfect for storing your valuables, tools, straps, and other gear. This will bolt onto your Jeep's roll bars with the included hardware that you see down here. That's going to allow you to get this installed very easily.

There's no drilling required. Now, this is going to work with your 2007 through 2018 or your JK Series Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited. Because it is designed specifically for those models, it is going to fit in place very simply, allow you to get installed very easily. Now, they don't include instructions. I'm a little disappointed by that, but it should be a fairly straightforward installation process, so you should be able to figure it out once you get everything up in place and lined up.

The support bar back here is going to hold the storage box overhead, out of sight, in the rear of your Jeep. It's not going to interfere with your line of sight so you'll still be able to see clearly. And then it will swing down to provide easy access to your stored gear. We do have the cover here with the integrated locks that are going to allow you to latch the shut to protect your gear and deter theft. The keys are included for the locks, so you very simply just give it a quick little quarter turn there, and that's going to prevent it from coming unlocked.

(metal thudding) This is made here in the U.S.A. The frame, the brackets, and the door are all a black powder-coated steel construction are going to resist corrosion, hold up well for you. The box itself is a, seems like a sturdy plastic kind of construction, so it's gonna help to reduce the weight requirements. It is going to have a weight capacity of 25 pounds, so make sure that you're not overloading it and that should be quite a bit for you, especially if you're just putting your tow straps and that sort of thing in there. Looking at our dimensions, our overall, I'm gonna call it 40 inches, and that's mostly just the frame here.

Your support bar is gonna stick out a little bit farther as well as your brackets, but the box frame itself is right at 40 inches. We're looking at about 12 inches long and then six inches tall. Our internal measurement, see how much we can actually store inside there. You can see this is a little bit tapered, and you've got the cutout here, so you won't be able to fit something straight back, but our internal opening there is sitting right about 39 inches wide at our widest point, our internal height, (metal shrieking) I can get my tape measure to cooperate. All right, we're at 10 1/2 inches, and then our depth is only about 4 1/2 inches deep, so it's not super deep. Definitely, not gonna be able to put a very tall object through there, but a nice wide storage or straps and that sort of thing will fit in there just fine. Our opening here, when you're determining what will actually fit in, you can see we're right at 35 inches wide, and our height, call it 6 1/2 inches tall.
