Today, we're going to be taking a look at part number AMG102810. This is the Superman logo trailer hitch receiver cover for 2-inch hitches. It's going to feature the officially licensed Superman logo. The hitch cover is going to slide into your 2-inch by 2-inch hitch. That's going to help add a nice clean finish look to your hitch and keep out dirt which is ultimately going to help prevent rust and corrosion from entering your hitch. We're going to have the chrome plated ABS plastic emblem, very stylish and durable and then the base and the shank are going to be made from a metal construction that's going to feature a black, powder coat finish to resist rust and corrosion as well as color fading. This right here is going to be your foam gasket that's going to sit in between the opening of your trailer hitch and the back of the face plate.
That's going to prevent rattling. Now, this portion right here is going to be the portion that inserts into your 2-inch hitch. You're going to push it in your hitch until you get your pinholes lined up and then you'll need to insert a hitch pin and clip or hitch pin and lock. Those items are sold separately but you can find those right here on our website. When we take a look at the face dimensions, measuring this direction first, it's going to give us an overall width of about 5 inches with an overall height of 3 1/2 inches. The distance that we have from the back of the face plate to the center of our hitch pinhole, that looks to be about 2 5/8 inches.
The overall length of the shank is going to measure 3 3/16 inches. Now, this pinhole is elongated. It's going to accept your standard 5/8 inch pin but the pinhole is going to actually measure 11/16 inch by 3/4 inch. Again, it's a simple installation. You definitely want to make sure that you get that secured in your hitch using a hitch pin and clip or a hitch pin and lock. But that's going to do it for today's look at part number AMG102801..

Perfect addition to the his & hers vehicle. Very nice solid construction with just the right amount of bling, classy USMC logo. Especially like the rounded edges, thinking they will lessen the bruising during unexpected close encounters

Before I took it out of the box, I could tell that this was a high quality product. The colors are bright and the fit is perfect. The foam seal to keep water out of the hitch was an unexpected nice touch. It looks great on my truck.
Be advised, it does not come with any kind of retaining device, you will need a hitch pin to keep it in place. I purchased a locking pin because something as nice as this would probably get stolen.

Did a lot of research on this product and it came through with flying colors. I ordered this product and one other from another site. This cover was superior in thickness size and chrome. Also the pin opening is large enough for standard 4" pins. If you are considering this product I suggest you don't wait. As for the company, great service. I was contacted shortly after the purchase, tracked the item and was contact about satisfaction after delivery. Outstanding. Will not return item but with their attention to detail I am sure if there were anything of issue the company would be on top of it. Thank you I will be ordering from you again.

Thanks for your message and following up a year later! I have purchased two of these hitch covers for both of our cars. I'll attach pictures. I believe the first one I bought was 2 years ago and the second was a year ago. The two year old cover has shown a great deal of rust and deterioration over those two years. The other one is in much better shape but I would expect the same to happen over this next year.
I do live in Pittsburgh, a very rainy and humid climate for most of the year. Obviously in winter months, we get a lot of snow and ice with the roadways covered with salt. I'm sure those factors contribute to the rusting of this product.
I'll be happy to log in and make a review post similar to above if you would like me to. I have been a happy customer of yours with a few of these similar products.

The hitch cover is perfect in detail,powder coated with U.S.M.C.enblem and fits a 2" trailer hitch.
This was not checked for quality prior to shipping from the manufactor or the seller. My logo is off center at the bottomand over to the passenager side. Also my logo is crooked tilting up toward the passenager side. Tried calling customer service but the line has not been manned since I recieved this product. Overall a disappointing experience.
