Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this Curt easier double lock gooseneck installation kit. This is going to provide all the underbody hardware that you're going to need to install your Curt. A double or easier double lock gooseneck hitch onto your GMC and Chevy 2500 and 3500 truck. This is going to mount on the underside.
It is a custom fit for your Chevy and GMC trucks so that it will be very easy to get installed. They do include very detailed instructions to walk you through that whole process so that you can get this mounted in place and put your hitch in place as well. So this is going to be more for those kinds of situations where maybe you already have an easier gooseneck hitch. You're wanting to switch it from one vehicle to another one. Maybe you got it secondhand.
You're just looking for the installation set to get it installed on your truck or whatever the case may be, this is going to be exactly what you need. This is a Curt product, so you can trust it's going to work with your easier gooseneck hitch and you're not going have to worry about compatibility issues or anything like that. This is made of a nice sturdy steel construction with a black powder coat finish. So it's going to be very durable and long lasting. This is going to match your vehicles, weight ratings.
So you're only going to have to worry about your vehicles tow capacity. This isn't going to diminish that at all. And like I said, everything that you're going to need to get your hitch installed is here. The hitch itself is sold separately. So that's why I'm saying it's more a kit for if you already have the hitch or if you're getting it secondhand, this will help you to get it installed.
Overall, very simple design fits right in place underneath your body. You will need to get under there and work around. So it's not necessarily an easy thing to do but if you are familiar with working on your truck it should be pretty straightforward and definitely achievable for you.
