Video Transcript for WeatherTech HP Front Floor Mats Review - 2020 Chevrolet Traverse

AJ What's up everybody. It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out a WeatherTech HP Front Floorliners. It's gonna go in the front of your vehicle. And today we're gonna be showing them on a 2020 Chevrolet Traverse. First thing you wanna look at is how it custom fits this vehicle.

It's made to fit the contours of the floorboards here. So you can see how it goes right here, along the back side of the floorboard. Now we have the seat all the way back, so it could come up a little bit more here, I think. But otherwise it has really good coverage. I mean if you look at the side, comes up and all the way up there by that pedal.

Far up behind the pedal too. Even on here where you could rest your foot, that's all covered, well more than where you'd probably put your foot. Looking underneath, it does have the points, that you can attach to the floor. But the other awesome thing it has is these nibs here. I think this was what, one of the things that sets it apart from the other WeatherTech line, is it has these nibs that help grip into that carpet.

So it really, once you've got it pushed on there, really isn't going anywhere. I'm pulling on it here. You can see it's not shifting side to side or anything. And little further back, you got the support structure here. And that's really nice, cuz even if I push down on it, you can see the mats not going down.

So it really helped when we pour water on there, cuz then it's gonna direct that water through these channels and into the reservoir here. The reservoir is here on the passenger side as well, with those same grooves. Now it doesn't have the points that attached to the ground but you still have those nibs in there. So this one I'll show you even without those attached front, barely moves when I pull it back and forth. So you don't have to worry about it shifting underneath you. You'll notice that the mat goes over the door jam there. So that's even protection there from stepping in, and not accidentally getting the door jam all dirty. One thing I will notice, there's a little bit of a gap here in the corner. You can see this was curled up in the box. So a way to fix that, is set it out in the sun for a little bit, or leave it in your car on a hot day. As it gets warmer, it's gonna more form fit your vehicle. But you can see that's the only spot that sticks out just a little bit. If you look up here, fits right up here at the front just fine. And then up here on along the side, there's plenty of wall and it's right there next to it. So there isn't a gap anywhere else. Now I also wanna close the door, and show you that even though, it does have a little bit of an overhang, it does not affect opening and closing the door. To there's no interference there and no issues. Overall I think there'll be a good addition to your Traverse. We have a full review of them where we actually put mud on there. Spray it off. They're really easy to clean off. I just sprayed it with the hose. Did not have to use my hands, to get any of it out of all those grooves and stuff. Cleaned off super easy. Just used the towel to dry it off and it was good. So even if you do that, you can just leave 'em out in the sun. Dry em off, if they get really dirty. And that's the whole point is keeping your interior clean. So you don't really have to get the vacuum out, or scrub your interior cuz that's not fun at all. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out and I hope this helps..
