Hi everyone, Aidan here at etrailer. Today, we're taking a look at the WeatherTech Custom Fit Front Floor Mats on our 2021 Jeep Gladiator. Now, these are gonna be a custom fit, and you can see that all around the edges of the mat, they match the contours of the floorboard and get you the best coverage out there. Even back here where it might be covered up by our seat, but even if the seat's all the way back, we get some coverage there, around the edges, up high along the sides, and up into the foot well there, and it's gonna give you all weather protection. Let's check it out. Now, you may notice in some areas, it doesn't quite look like a perfect fit, and that's pretty normal.
When these are boxed up, they might bend or flex around and get kind of stuck in a certain position. Just lay them out in the sun for a bit, and that'll help them kinda settle in, or if there is a nice hot sunny day and you're kinda collecting that heat in your car, that'll help too, but leave them out in the sun, they'll kinda conform to the right shape and be fitting a bit better. So just keep that in mind if you do see that during the video. Now, obviously, custom fit's gonna give you the best coverage here. WeatherTech does have a semi-custom fit for the Gladiator, and the big difference between that and this is the fact that this has the high side walls to contain any messes that might happen, and it's going to be just generally a better material.
It's gonna be a thermoplastic that's more of a rigid structure, and it's gonna have these channels to guide water and spills into the reservoir here where you can clean it up more easily, and it's gonna use the factory anchor points. Now, the semi-custom also uses those anchor points, but with this and the custom fit, it's gonna be very secure. It's not gonna move around on you and it's not gonna shift on the floor, it's gonna stay right where it's supposed to. Now, this comes with the driver's side and the passenger's side. The big difference between this and the Bestop Custom Fit Front Floor Mats is the fact that on here, the coverage actually extends underneath the gas pedal as well.
Again, we've got some of that flexing here that would eventually settle in with some heat, but if you're using the gas pedal here, we're not gonna have any exposed areas of the carpet underneath, versus with the Bestop, there was a cutout there for the gas pedal. As far as protection for the carpet goes, this is gonna be better, but over time, if these do start to flex and bend, the mat could actually kind of get in the way I would think of my foot. I've got pretty big feet, so I'd be worried about this being so close to the pedal, but really, it might just be up to you and your preferences. Because of that structure, they're actually really easy to take out of the vehicle and kinda keep everything contained. So if you do have a mess of something that you just wanna like kinda shake out like dirt or rocks, it's gonna be easy to contain it in the mat while you take it out, so it doesn't spill all over the vehicle, you can dump it out and spray this off with a hose to further clean it, leave it out to dry, and then just pop it back in whenever you're ready.
So for maintenance, I like that structure, 'cause it makes it easier to clean. They do offer these in the black color like you see here or tan, so if you wanna match it to the interior of your vehicle, you can. Either way, they're gonna function and install the same way. And overall, if you're looking at floor mats, custom fit is the way to go, it's gonna give you the most coverage and protection for the inside of your vehicle. Now, personally for this vehicle, I prefer the Bestop mats myself just because I liked having that cutout for the gas pedal. I think it'd be fine over time, these WeatherTechs do stand up to the test of time pretty well and are very durable, but for me and some larger feet or if I ever have boots on, I'd prefer just having that area clear, so there's no interference with the gas pedal when I'm driving. The fit is lacking quite a bit (like 3-5 inches off in places) also wish I didn’t get the one that covers the whole floor in one piece. I wish it was 3 pieces that snap together for easier cleaning because this design you end up dumping all the crud on the floor of the truck while trying to take the mat out to clean it.

Does not fit the 2018 Hymer Aktiv class B motorhome on Promaster chassis. See pictures. notches for seat posts are not even close. The floormat extends into passenger side lower step well causing trip/foot snag when entering vehicle. Does not extend into area between seats leading to another raised area prone to trip/foot snag. Not good for RV use. I gave it two stars for quality of material. I'll be requesting return/refund.
Cargo mat delivered did not completely
Fit the cargo area. I'm assuming the wrong mat was sent. 2018 Chevy Equinox LS . Waiting for response back from eTrailer. I called 800 # on July 11, 2017 three times from 4:30pm to 5pm EST and computer prompt for service with product was #3. On hold twice for over 15 minutes with no explanation or human contact. Called third time and used prompt 1 for sales thinking they would surely pick this call up. Same 15 minutes on hold without any contact. Hung up again after unnecessary wait.
Hopefully this will get worked out and at the minimum a credit should be offered for the screw up and non existent customer phone service.
These front mats are great, and definitely caught all of the krud my shoes brought in during the winter.
The ONLY quibble I have is that the Tahoe has a manual pedal-style parking brake, and when engaging it (pushing down) it catches the left edge of the mat. Over time, it has shredded the edge a bit; I have to be careful to push it aside and depress the pedal more cautiously.
This was the longest hitch ball mount I could find anywhere. I used it with a short extension for my 2021 T G so that I could open the back doors without hitting the trailer wheel crank. With my new trailer, Intact Flyer Discover, I don't need the extension and can still open the doors. Works well.
These mats are fantastic, they fit perfectly, keep the floors and carpet clean and protect the factory flooring. Excellent mats and great deal from etrailer!
Received the mats 6 days after ordering using the "free shipping "option. I feel this is reasonable and the tracking provided was accurate and up to date.
Now about the mats. I have owned many vehicles and have always tried to protect the interior and keep it as new looking as possible. I believe these mats will help me do that. In s word, they are great. They fit really well and the color match is spot on. The texture is non-slip and they are flexible enough that taking them in and out is a very easy. In short they are perfect for my vehicle and I would most certainly buy them again.
I will definitely use "etrailer" again for any products I need that they carry.
The mat is exact size needed! One mat is waaay better than the individual ones that came with the Sprinter!

WeatherTech stands true to their claims of custom fit. My floor mats dropped in place with no effort. So much nicer looking than the plastic flooring in the cab of my motorhome. Clean up will be easier now that the mats are in place.
Fits perfectly. This is my 4th set of Weathertech floor mats and all have proven to be great!
I started looking for these floor mats by going to the WeatherTech website. I put in all the truck info and was surprised and disappointed to see that no mats came up. Then I did a google search and they came right up on etrailer.com. I was a bit skeptical that they weren't available from the manufacturer, but I could get them here. I received them today and they are the real deal. The price was competitive and they were delivered in two days! Great job etrailer!

Not overly impressed with the fit in the rear seating area. Edges curled up near the doors. Withholding an opinion on them to see if the edges flatten out.

The mat is a perfect fit in our Airstream Atlas. And received quickly. HOWEVER, there were two TechGrip II B grips for vinyl, not one for vinyl and one for carpet (TechGrip II), and of course we need one for carpet. I will upgrade my review to five stars if I receive a TechGrip II for carpet from etrailer as I do not want to spend $xx+ ordering one when it should have been included……
Fitment is not great. I would choose another brand for my next purchase. I had an issue that Weathertech said they would not correct. However etrailer corrected the issue themselves. I would definitely buy from etrailer again but never anything made by Weathertech.
