Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we can take a look at the CURT Semi-Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit with the Dark Gray Base Rails for the Ford F-150 trucks. Now this is designed to fit the 2000 Ford 2011 Ford F-150 trucks. And what I would recommend is for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model of vehicle, and it'll sure if this will work for your application. Now, this kit here is a complete installation kit.
It'll either install a fifth wheel to your truck bed. The kit does include the side semi-custom fit mounting brackets, the base rails, all the hardware you need for installation, and even a set of nice, detailed instructions that'll describe how it all goes together. Now, we mentioned these side brackets here. I'm going to zoom in on those. If you see these, these are semi-custom fit brackets.
They're designed to mount beneath your truck bed, and they provide the attachment points for your fifth wheel rails. They are a black powder coat finish to resist corrosion. And we mentioned their semi-custom brackets. These are required if you're not using a custom mounting bracket kit. These will provide a semi-custom fit, which will cut down the installation time when compared with the universal bracket kits.
Now to install these, some drilling is required. The base rails, which are these two parts right up here, these base rails are what'll sit in your truck bed, and they allow the installation of your fifth wheel trailer hitch to your vehicle. These rails are visible in your truck bed. These here have a nice dark gray finish on them to match the color of your fifth wheel hitch.
