Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this PullRite OEX Super light 5th wheel hitch. Now this has been designed to fit your 2020 and newer Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500s and 3500s. with the OEM Prep package and on custom fit parts such as this hitch, I do recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide. Simply input the year, make and model of your vehicle and our fit guide will confirm if this will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you.

Now this 5th wheel hitch is going to mount into your Silverado's or Sierra's truck bed so you can tow your 5th wheel trailer. This is going to work with your factory installed 5th wheel towing prep package from Chevy and GM. Now, in case you don't know, PullRite's OEX line of hitches are uniquely designed to give you more options. If you prefer a different coupling method down the road, this is going to give you the ability to swap this head out without the cost of buying a completely new hitch. For instance, you could swap out this included head for the more traditional PullRite Super 5th wheel head that you see there on your screen without investing in an all new hitch.

The head is going to be easily removable by just removing the pin and clip that you really can't see from that angle. But there's a pin and clip here on the side. You're gonna be able to remove this and then you'll just swap out the plates and you're gonna be able to fit that Super 5th wheel head if you wanted to do that over this. So this does give you some options. Now this hitch is made here in the USA from high quality American steel.

It features a black powder coat finish to help resist rust and corrosion. This has been SAEJ2638 tested to a gross towing weight of 25,000 pounds and a vertical load limit of 6,250 pounds. But this is also one of the lightest 25K hitches on the market today. These OEX hitches are relatively lightweight and with a lifting weight of only about 78 pounds. So it's going to be a whole lot easier to get into the bed of your truck and get into position that a lot of other ones of a similar capacity that are out on the market.

Now, this uniquely designed interchangeable coupler assembly is going to give you enough offset to be the second best solution for a short bed truck. The first of course would be a slider hitch, the best solution, but this Super light combined with its Super light kingpin adapter is going to give you up to an additional 7-1/2 inches of rearward offset. So these two items working together can give you that additional offset of 7-1/2 inches. This also has a vertical adjustment and this can be adjusted vertically from 16-3/4 inches all the way up to 19-1/4 inches to allow you to make your 5th wheel as level as possible with your tow vehicle. Let's go for an overhead look here real quick. What's nice about this as well is this is not going to require any adapters, rails or tools to install or remove in and out of the bed of your truck. This is going to install and remove quickly and easily. There's not gonna be any binding. Unlike other OE puck systems, this is going to drop into the four receiver pucks in the bed of your truck that are built into your factory under bed rails and secures in place with these removable top mounted mounting posts. And this is going to be very easy to get into place. So once you have this in the bed of your truck and you're ready to put it into the puck system, you're gonna rotate these handles in this orientation. That's the open position and then you're just going to be able to drop it into the puck system and then you rotate it back this way and that's going to secure it. So, and as I mentioned, these are also removable. So what you can do is you can actually remove the whole mounting post. So if you have to drag this over the bed of your truck, these posts won't be scratching into the bed of your truck. And then once you have the points over the puck system, then you can drop these posts in and then rotate it just like that to secure it in the puck system. Let's go for a closeup view here and hopefully you can see a little bit better what's going on down underneath here. So this is going to be in the position to drop it into the pucks and then when you rotate it like that, that's going to secure it into that puck system. And then you'll just replace your bail pin like so just like that. And that's going to secure those mounting posts. It's gonna be very easy to remove, as I said. And once you have this out of the bed of your truck, your truck bed's going to be clean and open and you can go back to hauling. Now this does feature a unique two-piece design that's going to allow for fast and easy coupling. This coupler is going to bolt around your trailer's king pin to create a new connection point. And this open funnel on the hitch head is going to make it very easy to guide that ball in. So I'm gonna go ahead and open this funnel. And so I just pulled this lever back and gave it a little bit of a turn. And so you're gonna have this mounted around your king pin and that funnel's going to allow you just to easily guide that in just like so. And then I'm gonna go ahead and close this. Lemme go come around here and I just need to give this a little bit of a pull. There we go. So that's going to latch around the ball and as you can see, I'm secure. So this is going to be very easy to couple. Let me go ahead and pull this out, give it a little bit of a turn. And then that's going to allow me to disconnect the coupler from the funnel just like that. I'm gonna lay it here on the side. And then we also have a remote latch handle. So you can use this to uncouple you can use whichever end's gonna work best for your orientation. And this is designed to reach that release latch there from a lowered tailgate. Now if you're looking for a lighter weight 25K hitch, 5th wheel hitch that is going to give you that capacity that you're looking for of 25,000 pounds and you're looking for to easily drop into your Silverado or Sierra's factory puck system to also give you additional coupling options down the road, this is really going to be a great hitch to consider.
