  • How to Protect a Cargo Carrier From Exhaust Heat
I have a solution for you but I don't have any options for heat shields to protect your cargo when mounted on the Flint Hill Goods Cargo Carrier item # FHG27ZR. This will be an issue with any cargo carrier or accessory you mount on your Forester so the best option will be to point your exhaust down and away from the rear of your Subaru. To do this you will want to change out your exhaust tip. You will need to measure the diameter of your exhaust pipe to determine which one you will need....

  • Recommended Turndown Exhaust Tips For 2015 Honda Odyssey
We do offer exhaust tips that are designed to be installed with the angle pointed downward. If you have a 3 inch tailpipe you would need part # MF35180. For 2-3/4 inch you would need part # MF35179, for 4 inch tailpipes you can use part # MF35181, and for 3-1/2 inch you would need part # MF35178. These are all weld-on exhaust tips and should be installed by a certified professional welder. And thank you for being a repeat customer at etrailer.com

  • Will A 4" Tip Fit Over My 4 Inch Exhaust Pipe On My 2015 Chevy Duramax?
Since both your existing pipes on the 2015 Chevy Duramax and the tip have a diameter of 4" the tip will not slide over your existing exhaust. Which isn't a problem, all you have to do is get the tip lined up, hold it in place and lay down a couple beads. Then, you can remove whatever is holding it in place and finish up welding. If there's a specific look you are going for you may need to trim back your existing exhaust enough to position your tip how you want. If you are not wanting to...

  • Using Exhaust Tips to Redirect Exhaust Away From Cargo Carrier
An exhaust tip that re-directs the exhaust gasses downward can indeed help protect items carried on a cargo carrier from excess heat. Using a carrier like # 63153 that has an angled shank to raise the carrier further away from the exhaust pipes also helps. If you click the provided link, you can see the various tips we have available. To choose the correct tip, you'll need to measure the outside diameter of your exhaust pipe. Most of the tips are weld-on applications, so you'd need to...

  • Will MagnaFlow 4" Exhaust Tip # MF35181 Void Warranty on a 2016 GMC Sierra 2500 Diesel
No, installing the MagnaFlow 4" Exhaust Tip # MF35181 would not void the warranty on your 2016 GMC Sierra 2500. If you are concerned because it is a weld-on then you could use # MF35187 if your existing exhaust pipe is a 4 inch. This one is a clamp-on.

  • Would A 3.75 Inch Tip Fit On A 4 Inch Pipe?
Since the Magnaflow Tip # MF35181 is a weld on, you could make it fit. Whenever I weld on pipe or tips to my exhaust I always match the piece I'm adding to the size of the existing pipe. I do this because I can lay down one bead to hold the tip in place, then weld around it. Then, once she's all welded up, I can go back with the grinder and grind down the welds if need be and I'm left with a clean looking connection. I like to keep the connection as seamless and smooth as it can be. I've...
