Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Coghlan Survival Bag. This is a seven-foot-long by three-foot-wide bag, that has a tough polypropylene construction. It is gonna be sealed on the two long sides and on the bottom here. So, it is going to work as a great sleeping bag, emergency blanket kind of thing if you are needing to retain your body heat and help prevent hyperthermia. in extreme weather conditions.
It can also work as an emergency shelter. Put this up over yourself, help to keep the rain and wind off of you. I can also work as a groundsheet. If you lay it down on the ground help provide, provide layer between you and the cold wet ground. It can also work as gear storage, so you could put, fit a lot of gear in here and just seal off the top, and it's going to help keep your gear dry as you're out in rain and whatnot.
This does also have a nice bright orange color so it can work as a distress signal if you're trying to get attention of emergency rescue crews and that sort of thing. It only ways about nine ounces, so it's gonna fold up well for you. Be very easy to pack in a backpack or a hiking bag, so that it's on hand if you do encounter any emergency type situations where you're gonna need it. Having that nice long seventh-foot length it's gonna fit just about anybody inside it. I'm about six foot three so you can see how tall this is compared to me.
So, if I we're to get inside it on a cold winter night if I we're to be caught out in the elements this would do a great job of helping to keep the water off of me, allow me to retain that body heat, and fight off that hypothermia. So, a nice piece of equipment here to have on hand just in case anything we're to happened that you weren't expecting, be good to have this with you so that you can stay safe while you're outdoors.
