Speaker 1: Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Pewag Ratcheting Load Binder, designed for use with half-inch chain, offering a 17,900-pound safe-working load limit.The part number is PRLB1213. Now, this Pewag Load Binder is gonna come in really handy for these heavier duty situations. As we said, it's designed to work with half-inch chain and it's a class 120-rated binder.So, it has a very high capacity at 17,900 pounds. Now, to help secure a load, we're gonna have a 13-inch handle. This allows us to very easily get the leverage we need to loosen or tighten the ratchet.It's gonna offer a maximum reach of 51 inches and a minimum reach of around 38 inches. Now, that's about 12 inches of travel that's gonna give us a lot of room when it comes to binding our chains.We're using our binder in conjunction today with our Glacier Transport Chain.

Part number is P01220SL70. Now, you can tell there's been a lot of quality construction put into our binder. We've got heat-treated hooks down here instead of the standard square thread that you're typically gonna get with a binder.They've switched to a trapezoidal-style, that's gonna give us a longer thread. It's gonna stick up further off of the actual metal shank, that gives us a lot more metal-to-metal contact for excellent security. Now, the release mechanism or the double pall that we have here, it's gonna be very comparable to any other load binder out there, but something that's really stood out about this binder versus other ones are the powder-coat finish that it offers.It's nice and highly visible in that lighter blue color, but very durable.

You don't see the chipping or the cracking that you typically see with load binders even when they're new. As you can see the hooks have a very unique design. It allows the chain links to rest right in and up against it, so not held at weird angles. It's gonna offer a pivot point between the joints that we have as well. So, we're gonna have the pivot point here, here, and here, so that allows us to lay around any angles or any curves we might need it to.

Now, to secure the binder to the chain, we just wanna bring one of the links in the hook.See there We talked about that link's gonna rest right up against the side of it. Then, we can extend our other hook to another link on our chain. Now, we can just operate our ratchet and handle.
