Video Transcript for Review of Durabilt Chain Hoist - 15 Foot 1.5 Ton Lever Hoist - DU58MR

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this Durabilt, one and a half ton lever hoist. This is going to make it much easier for you to move your heavy loads, like, cargo into and out of your truck or trailer. This does have a durable steel construction with a grade 80 heat treated alloy chain. That's gonna be extremely durable, it's going to give us our safe working load limit of 3,306 pounds or about one and a half tons. The chain is going to be 15 feet long.

So we're gonna have a maximum lift height of 15 feet. Our roller guide assembly system is going to make multi-position lifting and pulling very easy for pulling out of an angle. That's going to make sure that the chain stays in position, so it's going to work well for you. Does have a mechanical brake, so it's going to allow for a positive load control. Very easily lower it down.

It's not going to slip on you at all. Our lever here from the center down to the bottom. It's about 11 and a half inches. We do have this four inch rubber sleeve that's riveted on. So it's gonna give us a nice grip to hold onto.

It's also gonna help protect our hands from the bare metal when it's cold outside. So we're not gonna have to worry about hands getting too cold. It does also have this free chaining feature. So if we move that to the center there, that's going to allow us to pull in any slack, so that we can easily just take in what we need to lift up the load. Won't have to worry about ratcheting and all the extra slack there.

You can see, we are gonna have a hook on the top end here, and then a hook on the end of the chain. These hooks swivel 360 degrees so that we can very easily hook up to our load at whatever angle we need to. This hook throat opening here, is about one and a quarter of an inch wide so should accommodate quite a bit of straps and buckles and that sort of thing to hook onto. when we have our chain pulled in as much as it will go, the distance between our hooks is right about 14 inches. So that's gonna be your minimum or your maximum retraction, your minimum width or length there. These hooks are designed to slowly bend if overloaded. So it's going to provide a warning for you if you got too much load on there, rather than just giving out, they're going to slowly bend so that you can see and you're exceeding what they're capable of, so that you can safely lower it, put on something else or lighten the load a bit. So this hoist, it does meet the OSHA standards as well as the ANSI and ASME B30.21 and B30.10 standards. It does weigh approximately 33 pounds. And so it is pretty easy to lift up overhead. So if you're gonna be hooking it up high, should still be very manageable for you. It does also have a powder coat finish to help resist corrosion. So it should be nice long-lasting piece for you. Then I want you to see the other end of the chain here. You can see we've got this kind of buckle on the end. So it's going to make sure that our chain never comes completely through, and we'll always have that stop there. And it will be pretty easy to pull on for that free chaining (indistinct). So I demonstrated it, but didn't really talk about it, but you've got your different settings here, so you can ratchet that up. You can lower it down and then you can move it to the center there, to pull in that slack. So a very nice lever hoist here for your one and a half ton loads up to 15 feet of height. So that's gonna complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
