Today we're taking a look at a performance tool jet torch. Now this is a refillable jet torch that features an adjustable flame and it's the perfect addition to your home, shop, vehicle or RV.Butane's not included. It can be used for a variety of purposes. It can be used to melt solder, gold, small brass rods, tin and much more. It's the perfect lighter for campfires or barbecues. It has a heating temperature up to 1,300 degrees Celsius or 2,500 degrees Fahrenheit. Now I don't have butane in it today, so I'm not going to be able to show you the actual flame, but basically we're just going to go over how you would operate it.Now this right here is your flame guard or nozzle. Right here on top, you have a little lever.
This is your airflow control valve. Right here, you have the ignition button. Down here, you have the torch safety lock, so you have a lock lever right here, and then on the bottom, you have your gas filler valve. Now when you're ready to use it, you want to be sure to fill the mini flame thrower with butane lighter fluid. You just turn the torch over to access the bottom right here. You look for the gas injection valve in the center.
Attach your butane fuel cell's nozzle to the filler valve on your torch, and fill the holding tank. Then you'll notice it has this little flip up handle right here, little lever. What that does, the fold over knob is designed to allow you to open the valve, so you can use this valve to adjust the volume of butane supplied to the torch, which is going to allow you to fine tune the flame. Then to ignite the torch, you want to make sure that the air control valve, which is on top, is in the middle. The airflow can be adjusted from a normal flame to a pinpoint flame by moving the valve right to left. Slide the off lock button from the locked position to the off position, and then use your thumb to press the ignition button and then you want to hold it down to keep the torch lit. So it may be necessary to do that a few times.
To light the torch, to extinguish it, just release the ignition button. Residual gas may keep the flame burning briefly, so make sure that the flame is extinguished, you know, before setting the torch aside. And then after the fuel in the torch has been consumed and has completely cooled, you can refill it as needed with those others, with those steps that I mentioned before. The run time on a full tank is approximately 20 minutes of use, so that's pretty impressive for as small as this unit is.That's going to do it for today's look at the performance tool jet torch.
