Hi everybody, my name is Andy with etrailer.com. And today we're taking a look at Coghlan's Pocket Sierra Saw with four inch blade. If you're looking for an affordable, conveniently-sized little saw to take with you on your next hiking adventure or camping adventure, or whether you're fishing or hunting, or if you just need a little saw to have with you for some work around your yard, this might be a good option for you to consider. Now, this pocket saw has a serrated blade that never needs to be sharpened. And when it is open and in use, like we have here, this one-touch lock system keeps the blade locked open. And so I've been putting some stress on this blade, while it is locked in position, and I feel very confident that this would not begin to close on you while it is locked into place.

So that lock is pretty secure when you have this open and to release that lock it's very simple. There's this button that releases it, here at the top. And so you can just conveniently and easily push that down and that will release your saw blade. Let me give you a few angles on that. I'm gonna put that back into locking position and you just push this release, push that button and that will unlock the blade.

So very nice. And then it'll just close safely in the handle for safekeeping and the serrated blade will be nice and safe and you won't have to worry about accidentally cutting yourself. Now, this handle is very comfortable. It's ergonomic and it has these ridges here that provide slip resistance when you're using it. It is a very lightweight overall saw with the handle and the handle feels pretty rugged, it doesn't really flex while I push on it here.

And so I think it will hold up quite well as you're using this over time. And of course it is pocketable. It's easy to throw in your pocket, throw in your backpack. It's not gonna take up a lot of space. You're not even gonna know it's there until you need it.

So let's get some measurements here for you. The blade itself again, is sitting right at four inches long, and then the overall length we're sitting right at about eight and three quarters inches long. And then when closed we're sitting right at about five inches long.
