Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Front Runner Pro stainless steel prep table with the under rack storage brackets. This is going to allow you to enjoy the convenience of a table while you're camping, tailgating, or overlanding. It will fold and store under your Slimline II platform rack with the included brackets there to help you conserve space inside your rack, so that you can get all your other fun gear stored away there. The stainless steel top here, obviously you can't see that. It does come shipped with this protective film on it, which I'm not gonna remove, so that it's still gonna be in good condition when our customer gets this model.

But you can see on the underside there the stainless steel backside, and that's gonna be very durable and easy to clean. As far as our dimensions for our table goes, this is 44 and a half inches long, by 21 and three quarters of an inch wide. It does stand about 29 and a half inches tall. I'm about six foot three, so you can kind of see this hits me right under my hip there. So pretty convenient to work on preparing your meal, or just having a table at your campsite for anything that you might need to use it for.

The aluminum legs here on the bottom do lock into place, so you will have to push that in before you can fold those down. But then that gives you a nice solid footing there, so you can set that up, and have a short, solid table. This is gonna be designed to be a little bit more narrow than a very similar camp table option that's available from Front Runner, so you can find that here at etrailer.com, using that part number that you see on the screen there. So that is just gonna be just a little bit wider. So if you feel like you need a wider table, more surface to prepare your meals, or sit at and enjoy your meal, you can go with that option.

Otherwise, this is gonna be a little bit more of a low profile option for you, a little bit easier to store, not have to worry about that wider space. It's only about eight inches, so not a big difference between the two, but just a few options for you there. When you close up the table, you're gonna go from that 29 and a half inch height down to about an inch and three eighths, so it is gonna be very compact for you, will allow you to slide it into your brackets there under your Slimline II. So the brackets themselves are going to install to the bottom channel of your Front Runner Slimline II platform rack with the included hardware that we have here. Now keep in mind this is designed specifically for the Slimline II.

It's not gonna be compatible with the Slimsport racks, so make sure that you're getting it for the right rack here. This will allow you to attach either parallel or perpendicular to the slats on your rack, so you can load from either the side or the rear of your vehicle. These are 35 inches long by seven inches wide, and about two inches tall. So you are gonna need to have about two and a half inches of clearance between the underside of your rack and the peak of your roof. If you are gonna be mounting from the side, it is going to require four open slats. If you're gonna be mounting from the rear, it's gonna require seven slats, or about 53 and a half inches. Keep in mind, if you are wanting to mount from the rear, it's not gonna be suitable if your vehicle has a rear roof antenna. That'll cause clearance issues that you won't be able to work with. The brackets are a black powder coated steel and aluminum, so they are gonna resist corrosion, be very durable for you. And we do have the rubber insert here that's gonna install into a T-slot to help prevent any rattling and damage to the table. We also have this spring loaded latch here that's going to amount onto the side channel of your rack. This will clamp onto the lip of your table, and help to keep it in place there. You can see it does have that little opening, so if you wanted to put a small accessory lock on there to help deter theft of your table when it's loaded, you can use that. But very simple, once you have that mounted in place, that's gonna help keep your table secure for you. As far as our weight goes, our table itself is about 22.1 pounds. The under rack brackets are about 5.3 pounds, and the latch weighs less than half a pound, so altogether it's gonna be a little bit less than 28 pounds. So obviously when you're putting things on your roof, you wanna make sure that you're staying within the rated weight rating for your roof and your rack and everything. So keep that in mind. They do include instructions to walk you through the installation. Make sure you have everything installed, whether you're wanting them out from the side or from behind. They give you both options in there. So all around a great option to have a table for you when you're out setting up camp, just so you have a little elevated surface, keep things clean, easy to reach. This will be a great way to go.
