Today we're going to be look at the Malone Loop Locks Cable Lock. This unit provides a fast and economical way to add a layer of security to prevent bike theft. The locking bracket can be attached to any inch and a quarter diameter tubing on your bike rack, and then the cable is designed to loop around the bike rack. It has a loop in, you run that cable through, secure it around a portion of the bike rack, and then wrap the free end through the bikes, and then simply insert this end right here into the locked housing. Move it to a locked position, and now all of your bikes are going to be locked to your rack. Another neat thing I like about it is when that tab is inserted into the lock housing, it actually covers up the installation bolt. The installation bolt is designed to tighten the bracket around a piece of the tubing of the bike rack.
When that tab is installed, it prevents anybody from being able to to gain access to that bolt to remove the unit and remove the cable that way. That's a really nice security feature of this cable lock system. The cable can be used to secure multiple bikes to the bike rack. The cable is made from a durable braided steel construction and has a protective coating over it, so that way it doesn't scratch your bike or the bike rack. The cable itself measure 46 inches long.
Does come with an Allen wrench so that way you can tighten that mounting bolt on the bracket. It's going to come with two keys that are keyed alike. Again, the bracket diameter is an inch and a quarter, and the cable diameter is a quarter of an inch. That's going to do it for today's look at the Malone Loop Locks Cable Lock.
