At etrailer.com, we install, test, and review a ton of different products to help you, as the customer, make a more educated decision before purchasing a product for your vehicle. And today, I have a 2015 Toyota RAV4. We'll be taking a look at, and I'll show you how to install, a PTC cabin air filter. Our cabin air filter is going to be that key component in filtering our cabin air.
Now, it's not only good for us and our passengers, but it also is going to put less stress on our AC unit. And over time, that can really be expensive, because we don't want to have to put a new AC unit in our car. Personally, I changed my cabin air filter every couple of oil changes. It's just a good habit to get into, and there's really no reason to take your car somewhere and pay somebody to do this.Now I've gone over some of the features, I'll show you just how easy it is to get installed. To start our installation, we want to clean out our glove box.
We've already done that in this case. We just want to pinch the sides of our glove box together and pull it down. There is going to be a little cylinder over here on the left. All we have to do is push that in. Here's that cylinder I was talking about.
All we have to do is push it over, and it will come right out. Now we can simply lift off our glove box. Located right here is going to be our air filter box. There's going to be a little tab here, and you simply push in. Pull out like so.
You can see it says up with an arrow facing up. This is important, because we want to make note before we install our new filter. Let's go ahead, take it out, and see what it looks like.As you can see, there is some dirt and debris in here, so it's definitely time to change this, but that's a good thing, because we knows it's doing its job. When we're installing our new filter, we want to make sure we have our arrows facing up. In this case, we do. Go ahead and just slide that in. Now we need to install the cover. There's going to be a little notch over here on the side. We're going to slide that into the opening on the left side of our box. Simply push down and snap in our cover. Now we can grab our glove box, snap the tabs back in on the bottom. Simply lift up, just put it behind. Just like that, our glove boxes is reinstalled. With our new filter in and clean air, we're now ready to hit the road. That's going to do it for our look at and installation of the PTC cabin air filter on our 2015 Toyota RAV4.

The product was very good and fit exactly into place when I installed it inside my car. Anytime you are replacing your air cabin filter, it can be a chore at times. Overall I’m very satisfied with the product and recommend for anyone who is looking for an air cabin filter for a Toyota Camry 2009.

The PTC CABIN FILTER #3705 is a great value. Cost is always a factor when purchasing a disposable product, unless you have a lung disorder. Just keep in mind, it may be a long wait for delivery. Ours took several weeks to arrive ... Slow boat from China??
