Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this PTC Custom Fit Cabin Air Filter. Now a cabin air filter is probably not something that you think about all the time. It kind of hides up behind your fascia on, on your dash area. So you probably, out of sight, out of mind, but this is going to be an important component to making sure that your cabin is gonna have a nice, fresh flow of air.
So it is important to replace your cabin air filter pretty frequently. And this is so easy to do, you definitely can do it on your own. You don't have to pay a mechanic to do it the next time you go get an oil change. So this is going to be a great option for those of you who have a 2019 and newer Jeep Cherokee. The Cherokee has the cabin air filter housing in your center console area, right close to the floorboard.
You'll open up a panel. You'll be able to pull the original or old one out and then put this one in. You can see, it does have an airflow direction indicator. So you just want to make sure that you're putting this one in the same, same direction that the current one is in, to ensure that it's going to line up properly. This is a White Media Particulate, that's going to help filter out over 90% of outside pollutants, like your dust, smoke, bacteria, pollen, mold spores, and soot, as they pass through the filter, that's going to prevent that from blowing in your face, through your air conditioning system.
It's also going to help protect your heating and air conditioning system from any of those pollutants, building up potentially causing problems down the road. So it is a really nice thing to switch out from time to time. The manufacturer for this one, PTC, recommends changing the filter every 12,000 to 18,000 miles or about once a year. But of course, that is going to be dependent upon your environment. So if you live on gravel road, you probably gonna have to switch it out more frequently, as that gets more filled up with gravel, dust and that sort of thing.
So definitely something that you can switch out yourself, very easy to do. Just a drop in installation. This is manufactured to the ISO 9001, 9002, 9003 standards and the QS 9000 certified standards. So it's going to hold up really well for you. For those of you who need a little bit more reassurance, that this is actually going to work for your Jeep Cherokee. This is going to be an exact replacement for the part numbers that you see on the screen there. So if you're taking out the original, you see that any of those numbers or you're going through your owner's manual and you see any of those numbers, you can trust, this is going to be exactly what you need to switch out and get some fresher, cleaner air going through your Jeep Cherokee cabin. The PTC CABIN FILTER #3705 is a great value. Cost is always a factor when purchasing a disposable product, unless you have a lung disorder. Just keep in mind, it may be a long wait for delivery. Ours took several weeks to arrive ... Slow boat from China??

Perfect fit at a great price, I bought 2 to keep up with the replacement. Easy to install, there are directions or just watch a video. Seriously, don't have a mechanic replace this filter, it is very easy.
Although it is not listed on the instructions, it fits a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer (GTS) as OEM. So, don't worry about it.
The service was also very good, there were a few people who kept me updated on my order, as it was delayed a bit. After the first time using etrailer, I had a very good experience, so I plan to come back.
