Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the PTC custom fit cabin air filter. This is going to keep out any kind of harmful material from getting from outside to in your cab of your vehicle. It's going to keep out dust, smoke, bacteria, pollen, mold spores, and soot as they pass through this filter. So those pleats are going to capture that material and keep you from having to breathe it in inside your car.Now, this is going to fit the 2019 to current Subaru Ascent, the 18 to current Subaru Crosstrek, and the 17 to current Subaru Impreza.
It also fits the 2016 to 2018 Toyota Prius and the 2017 to 2018 Toyota Prius Prime. Now this is manufactured to all ISO standards. It's pretty easy installation. Typically, you just have to either go behind or underneath your glove box on the passenger side of your vehicle and find your old filter, pull it out, pop this new guy in there. You just want to note the air flow direction of the old filter and put this one in to match that.You should probably change out your filter every 12,000 to 18,000 miles, or about once a year, depending on how much you drive.
Also, if you want to, you should probably also check your owner's manual on your vehicle, make sure that you adhere to any stipulations they have, if it differs from those. And if you suffer from allergies, this is a pretty easy way to help keep from breathing those in, if you change this out relatively frequently. So maybe once every other season or when it's really bad in the spring or really bad in the fall, depending on what kind of allergies you have. It also helps to protect your heating and air conditioning systems from any kind of corrosion from a buildup of condensation, and also from a buildup of pressure. This poor quality cabin filter doesn’t even fit the space for it and it’s way below OEM quality. Now, it that weren’t enough it came looking like a rodent had peed on it!

The PTC CABIN FILTER #3705 is a great value. Cost is always a factor when purchasing a disposable product, unless you have a lung disorder. Just keep in mind, it may be a long wait for delivery. Ours took several weeks to arrive ... Slow boat from China??
