Ellen: Hey, everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at the PTC custom fit cabin air filter. This is going to be a charcoal filter, which does a better job of keeping out any harmful contaminants from getting into the cabin of your vehicle, so this is going to create a healthier environment inside your cab. Help to keep out any kind of pollutants from getting in there so you're not breathing in gas fumes, break dust, pollen, dirt, debris, that kind of thing. Especially if you have allergies, this is a really good thing to make sure is replaced fairly often, since it's going to keep out all that pollen, mold, and smoke, things like that.
It definitely helps to tamp down those allergies as you're driving through the spring, summer months, or anytime your allergies are flaring up. Basically, all those things are going to get trapped in the pleats of this material. It keeps hitting your filter rather than you breathing it in.Now, this is going to be a fit for the 2018 through 2019 Toyota Camry, as well as the 16 to 18 Lexus RX. That's going to be the RX 350 and 450. To be sure that this is going to be a fit for your specific vehicle, though, it's always a good idea to go through our fit guide here etrailer.com and put in your specific year, make, and model, and then go from there.This is manufactured up to all ISO standards.
It's just easy to put in place. You want to make sure that whenever you take out your old filter, that you know which direction the airflow was pointing and make sure that you match this up with that. While the Filter seems acceptable, the [online] video etrailer has on-line showing how to DIY install/replace and access the filter is incomplete and a bad source of how to do it. In it, the information on a simple procedure like removing the glove box to get at the filter housing completely neglects to tell an Acadia owner it is necessary to easily disconnect the left-side of the glove box from the swivel restraint which takes two seconds. That earned the one star review and caused me to finally source other, complete and accurate [online] videos on how to do it.

I like it has carbon filter to better screen out outside impurities. It was more stiff than the original cabin filter making it harder to insert.
