Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this PTC custom fit charcoal cabin air filter. This is going to replace the air filter in your vehicle to help give you a nice, clean air as you're going down the road. This is a custom fit, but it's going to fit a wide range of vehicles, including your 2004 through 2008 Chrysler crossover and many different nineties and early two thousands Mercedes-Benz C-Class, CLK-class and SLK-class vehicles. I would encourage you to use it. You'll select your year, make and model of your vehicle and we'll let you know which products work for you. So that's a great way of ensuring that you're getting the right product the first time. Make sure that this is going to work for you, but this is going to be an exact replacement for the Champ model number that you see on the screen there. So if you pull out your original filter or your current filter and you see that number or if you're going through your owner's manual and you see that number anywhere, this is gonna be the replacement that you need.
The manufacturer does recommend changing your filter every 12,000 to 18,000 miles. Of course, depending if you live in a really dusty area or on a gravel road or something like that, you might need to change it out more frequently. But the reason that you wanna change this is because this charcoal treated media particulate is going to help filter out over 90% of your outside pollutants, including offensive odors and harmful gases. So all of your dust, smoke, bacteria, mold spores, pollen and carbon monoxide are going to pass through here and get caught in this filter to help prevent that from blowing into your vehicle, blowing into your face and that sort of thing. So it's gonna be very important, especially if you have allergies or something along those lines but it's going to be important regardless because it is also going to help protect your heating and air conditioning systems, making sure that you don't have pressure buildup and corrosion and that sort of thing.
This is manufactured to the ISO 9001 9002 and 9003 certified standards as well as the QS 9000 standards. And so you can trust it is gonna be a good quality for you. Very, very easy to get this installed, right on your passenger side, under the dash. Very simple to do. You don't need to have a mechanic or anybody do it for you.

While the Filter seems acceptable, the [online] video etrailer has on-line showing how to DIY install/replace and access the filter is incomplete and a bad source of how to do it. In it, the information on a simple procedure like removing the glove box to get at the filter housing completely neglects to tell an Acadia owner it is necessary to easily disconnect the left-side of the glove box from the swivel restraint which takes two seconds. That earned the one star review and caused me to finally source other, complete and accurate [online] videos on how to do it.
All products came together in one package. Shipping time was fair. As always, etrailer was great for getting exactly what I needed.
Shipping cost is poo; added the items I needed for my car to negate that mess.
I like it has carbon filter to better screen out outside impurities. It was more stiff than the original cabin filter making it harder to insert.

I haven't installed the product but it looks identical to the factory installed one. Its a compartment filter for 2019 Sienna. Delivery was on time as promised.
