Hi everyone. It's Evangeline right here at etrailer. And today we'll be taking a look at our PTC Custom Cabin Air Filter right here on our 2021 Ford F-250. So you have your truck and you're ready for work, you're ready for adventure. You're ready to just drive around, but I want to make sure as you do drive around you're safe as well. As you can see, this is our old filter and here is our new filter.

It's very important to change your filters out regularly, just because this is what's filtering the air inside of your cabin. You want to make sure that you're taking out the dust, all those allergens and you're breathing in nice safe air. So this is the factory air filter. It's never been changed and you can see how our PTC Custom Cabin Air Filter is almost a direct replacement. Exact same size, exact same shape.

This is made of white media particulates. That's gonna be what's filtering your air. It also has these pleats just to work so you get all that air filtered through the different pleats. So I recommend checking your filters and changing them out at least once a year. Also check your engine air filter.

Go ahead, do them both if you can. We have both right here at etrailer. You don't want it to build up a lot of dust like this, just because then it can cause undue pressure on your AC unit and cause problems later on. Plus you don't want to be breathing in air that's not been filtered. All right.

So now let's go over to the passenger's seat and show you how to switch these out. So first open and clean out your glove box. Then open this top part too, by pressing that button. So now both of this flips up and out. Next, you're gonna lower the bottom of your glove box so there's gonna be a lever right over here. Just gonna want to pull that lever. It may be a little bit difficult just getting that lined up and out of it's tab. So if you lift the glove box up, you can then pull down and then pull this out. And then you're gonna have a rubber boot on each side. So just pull those rubber boots out of the way and that will allow you to swing this all the way down. There you go. Next, you're gonna have this rubber panel on top, and you're just gonna get those out of those tabs, just like that. Now you have these two bolts. So what I use is a seven millimeter socket and I'm just gonna loosen those two bolts. You're gonna have some orange tabs on the side as well as on the bottom of this piece. So you can either use a plastic trim panel tool or if you want to do it the hard way you can use a flat head screwdriver just to pop those in and allow you to take this off. And then in the corner, you're gonna have your wiring harnesses. So you just want to be careful with that. You could also just swing this away. It may be a little bit trickier to access your filter if you do so, but that's an option too. Just moving it down. Finally, you now have access to the cover of your air filter. So you're gonna have these tabs underneath and you're just gonna pull the side tab and that should allow you to take everything else out. We can now see our air filter. So just pull that out. So you remember the way you pulled your air filter out. So this has an air flow filter showing which direction it's supposed to be in. And now you have your replacement filter. So just line that up the same way. This also says airflow. So just pop that back in to replace your old one. Now put everything back in the reverse order that you took them off and that will complete your install. So my personal thoughts about this air filter is I do like how it is a custom fit. It's an exact replacement. Now just remember that with your Ford F-250 it's a little bit of an involved process. As you can see I had to pull up, pull out a bunch of panels, take off some wiring harnesses, things like that. Now, with your truck, it's especially important to change your filter though, because it does get dirty over time. If you're using this as a work truck or even as sport truck, you still have all that dirt, all that dust in the air that you do want to filter out. So definitely pick up a couple of these right here at etrailer. That way you're ready to change your filter when needed.
